POLITICAL
Local governments, often
have limited funds to
spend, and these are often
prioritised to more
immediate issues. Climate
change is a formidable
threat to the working lives
of people across the globe
especially those whose
employment depends on
agriculture.
Climate change can
disrupt food availability,
reduce access to food, and
affect food quality.
With this, politicians/
government officials will
have a hard time in
budgeting the funds that
will suffice the people’s
needs (ex., food supply)
along with fixing the
environmental damages
that the continuous
climate change may give
(ex., typhoon, flood,
drought)

Climate change could
affect our society through
impacts on a number of
different social and
natural resources (ex.
affect human health,
infrastructure,
transportation systems,
energy, food, water
supply)
Some groups of people will
likely face greater
challenges than others. It
may especially impact
people who live in areas
that are vulnerable to
coastal storms, drought,
and sea level rise or
people who live in poverty,
older adults, and
immigrant communities.
Similarly, some types of
professions and industries
may face considerable
challenges from climate
change. Professions that
are closely linked to
weather and climate, such
as outdoor tourism,
commerce, and
agriculture, will likely be
especially affected.
ECONOMIC
climate change would
increase income
inequalities between and
within countries.

many developing countries
and net positive market
sector impacts in many

Overall crop production
will be affected by
typhoons and drought.
Much of our society’s

Zika, West Nile, dengue
and Lyme disease into new
territories.
CULTURAL
Climate change can impact
the health and well-being
of indigenous tribes in
many ways. Climate
change will make it harder
for tribes to access safe
and nutritious food,
including traditional foods
important to many tribes’
cultural practices.
Many tribes already lack
access to safe drinking
water and wastewater
treatment in their
communities. Climate
change is expected to
increase health risks
associated with water
quality problems like
contamination and may
reduce availability of
water, particularly during
droughts.
By affecting the
environment and natural
resources of tribal
communities, climate
change also threatens the
cultural identities of
Indigenous people. As
plants and animals used in
traditional practices or
sacred ceremonies become
less available, tribal culture
and ways of life can be
greatly affected.

Climate change indeed affects us in so many ways. But we seldom pay attention to it unless we can already feel or
see the impacts that it makes in the environment. I ,myself is actually afraid that the day would come that we can
longer do anything about climate change. Over population is another world issue but if each of us helped, we can
still save all that is being lost because of our undisciplined actions.

we can always help by, growing our own vegetables and fruits. by planting a tree. new plants and trees will help
to remove the greenhouse gas CO2 from the air. If we grow some of our own food, it will also help to prevent
more CO2 from entering the air from the fossil-fuel-burning trucks, planes, and ships that transport our food to
us from far away.

Swap old incandescent light bulbs for the new compact fluorescent lights (CFLs). Turn off lights, TVs, computers,
when we do not need them. Walk or ride bikes instead of taking a car everywhere

Recycle everything you can. Carry drinking water in a reusable bottle. Use fewer containers. Buy the product that
uses less packaging material. Even if you recycle packaging materials, it takes energy to create them in the first
place and energy to remake them into something else.

Instead of putting so much money on trying to make another planet inhabitable, why not use it to make our world
today better?
