Although many want to manage because of the excitement, status, power, or rewards, managing
is not something that comes automatically; it requires certain skills and competencies as well as a
desire to manage.

Instructions: Below are 20 questions designed to provide insight into your aptitude for
management. Rate each question according to the following scale:

Scoring: For statements 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, and 20, give yourself 5 points
for every ML; 4 points for SL; 3 points for NS; 2 points for SU; and 1 point for MU. For
statements 3, 5, 8, 12, 15, and 19, reverse the scoring which means, give yourself 1 point for
each ML, 2 points for SL and so on. Total your score.
