2020 Technical Conference had been created after a thorough two-stage review by the Technical
Committee, comprising of 81 oil and gas specialists.
The conference programme featured 144 experts speaking at 36 sessions, as well as two full days
of e-poster presentations, and covered the latest research findings, industry trends and challenges,
new project developments, state of the art technologies, as well as industry best practises. The
topics ranged from exploration, field development and drilling to project management, operational
excellence and HSE, not forgetting refining and petrochemical developments, biofuels, gas
processing and digitalisation.
EGYPS 2020 Technical Conference brought together oil and gas professionals from across the

In collaboration with ExxonMobil, EGYPS 2020 held the second edition of its Youth Engagement Programme with 275 participating high school
students from 10 schools covering 4 main disciplines, including Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Health and Safety and Electrical Engineering. EGYPS
2020 Youth Engagement Programme offered industry leaders the opportunity to connect, engage, inspire and empower the youth of today. Participating

His Excellency Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources hosted on Tuesday 11 February an
evening of celebration, sponsored by Dragon Oil, at the Dusit Thani Lake View Hotel.
After a full day of high level strategic sessions, roundtable discussions and official signing ceremonies,
distinguished guests and prominent figures from across the global oil and gas industry had the opportunity to
socialise and enjoy an evening of entertainment by the highly acclaimed classical music, multi-award winning
Scottish-Egyptian Ayoub Sisters.
During his welcome speech, H.E. Tarek El Molla stated “I am really honoured to have you all here tonight. Today
was a great day, we hosted the important opening inauguration of the conference and the exhibition in the
presence of HE President El Sisi.”
