Fasten off, leave a tail long enough for sewing. Stuff body firmly, sew
opening closed. Weave in yarn. This will be Snoopy’s bottom.
NOTE: Make sure you stuff the neck firmly.

Collar:
With Black Yarn, Ch 25
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc across
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc across
Rows 3-4: Repeat row 2
Fasten off, leave a tail long enough for sewing.
NOTE: Make the collar long enough to have a slight overlap when sewing.
For my Snoopy’s neck, I needed 25 sts. Since the size of the neck may vary
depending on your crochet tension and yarn, measure before you finish the
collar.

Arms (Make 2):

With White Yarn, Ch 2
Rnd 1: Work 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook = 5 sc
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc = 10 sc
Rnd 3: *Sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat from * around = 15 sc
Rnd 4: *Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat from * around = 20 sc
Rnds 5-19: Sc in each sc around
Fasten off, leave a tail long enough for sewing. Stuff arms firmly.

Legs (Make 2):

With White Yarn, Ch 2
Rnd 1: Work 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook = 5 sc
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc = 10 sc
Rnd 3: *Sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat from * around = 15 sc
Rnd 4: *Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat from * around = 20 sc
Rnd 5: *Sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat from * around = 25 sc
Rnds 6-25: Sc in each sc
To shape the Foot –
Rnd 26: Work 2 HDC in each of the next 8 sc (16 HDC total), sc in remaining
17 sts = 33 sts
Rnds 27-28: Sc in each sc
Stuff leg
Rnd 29: *Sc in next sc, sc 2tog*, repeat from * around – continue to
decrease until entire bottom of foot is stitched closed.
Fasten off, weave in yarn.

NOTE: If you do not want to thread joint the legs, leave a long tail for
sewing when you fasten off. Thread yarn through needle and bring needle up
through leg to top of leg. Use this piece of yarn to sew the legs on to the
side of the body.

Tail:
With White Yarn. Ch 2
Rnd 1: Work 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook = 5 sc
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc = 10 sc
Rnd 3: *Sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat from * around = 15 sc
Rnds 4-13: Sc in each sc around
Fasten off, leave a tail long enough for sewing. Stuff tail.

To Assemble Snoopy:
1. Sew arms on body just below the neck. Leave enough room to sew on the
collar.
2. Wrap collar around neck, slightly overlapping ends – stitch collar.
3. Attach legs – if thread jointing the legs, follow the directions and
diagram below. If you choose not to thread joint the legs, sew the legs on
side of body.
4. For the paws, thread sewing needle with black embroidery floss - make 3
stitches for the toes, double stitching each stitch,
 Thread needle with embroidery floss.
 Insert needle on bottom of foot and bring out to where the HDC st
was made – insert needle and bring out to bottom of foot where st
was started in center of foot, repeat one on each side - double stitch
each stitch.
 Repeat same for other foot.
5. Weave in all excess yarn.

Snoopy is done! He measures 7-1/2” sitting and 10” standing.

Happy Crocheting!
Thread Jointing Legs

Thread jointing is simple. It gives your finished toy flexibility. Here’s how:
 Thread a long piece of dental floss on sewing needle.
 Run the needle on the inside of the first leg, going over your first
stitch to secure it. Bring needle out just below the first stitch.
 Run the needle through the body where leg is to be attached and
bring out on other end of body where the second leg is to be sewn.
TIP: Make the sure the feet are facing the right direction.
 Now do the same with the second leg, running needle through the
inside of the leg; bring needle out and insert needle into body and
bring out to other end of body where the first leg was attached ,
pulling the thread tight. When you do this, be careful you do not run
the stitch through the first leg.
 You will repeat this one more time through each leg, for a total of 2
stitches per leg.
 Now wrap the thread around the first leg twice where you stitched
the leg to the body, wrapping tight, run needle through first leg and
bring out to other end of the body.
 Wrap the thread around the second leg 2 times, run needle through
body and bring out other end.
 Secure your stitch with a slip knot, trim thread.

NOTE:
Make sure you pull the thread tight after each stitch.

TIP:
You can thread joint the arms – follow same directions for thread jointing
leg.
