 INTRODUCTION

This operation manual is a combined operating document and is supplied with each separator.

This document is intended for studying the machine configuration, as well as for acquiring the skills of its
handling.

Persons responsible for installation, operation of the machine, and keeping records of its work, must read this
manual.

The manual contains information on completed units, the separator configuration, its technical
characteristics, as well as safety instructions, manufacturer information, warranty conditions.

The production plant reserves the right to make changes to the design in order to improve the device. These
changes may not be specified in this manual.

PAŽNJA! Kod korišćenja separatora, prijemni koš separatora treba da bude napunjen barem 3/4 svoje
zapremine.
 3. MACHINE CONFIGURATION

The machine of any model is delivered to the customer in its standard configuration. At the customer’s
request, the machine configuration can be changed (as agreed with the manufacturer).

Standard configuration includes:

1 - the assembled machine;

2 - operation manual (passport) - 1 pc.

4. DISTINCTIVE FEATURES OF ASM SEPARATORS

Configuration:

The use of an impeller in this type of machines as a power unit allows minimizing the loss of power of the
air flow created by the impeller, since the machine does not have air ducts, to overcome the resistance of
which the considerable power of the fan motor is expended.

1 - Due to the use of an impeller wheel of the correct aerodynamic shape, it became possible to reduce
significantly the power of the electric motor, while maintaining the air flow parameters, excluding vibrations.

2 - In its design, the machine does not have a turbulence screen, and there is no need for it to be cleaned
periodically, which enables to operate the machine without operational shutdown.

3 - Application of the frequency converter for adjusting the impeller speed, smooth start of the electric
motor.

4 - The possibility of the impeller operation in reverse mode for cleaning the unit

5. FUNKCIONISANJE MAŠINE

5.1. Rad mašine sastoji se u promeni slobodnog pada semena vazdušnom strujom i raspoređivanjem sirovine
u odgovarajuće frakcije u zavisnosti od težine, veličine i oblika semena.

Sirovina'seme, sipa se u koš, tako da bude ravnovremeno raspoređeno i da može ravnovremeno da ulazi u
komoru za selektiranje gde se pod uticajem brznine vetra razvrstava u određene fijoke po težini, veličini i
obliku.

Svaka frakcija semena određuje se po potrebama potrošača.

6. LABELING
6.1. Machine labeling.

The external surface of each machine has a plate attached, made according to GOST 12971, with the text
corresponding to GOST 12969.

1. Name of the manufacturer LLC «Zavod KharkovAgroMash»;

2. Name and symbol of the machine;
3. Machine weight;
4. Year and month of production;
5. Serial number of the machine.

6.2. Control unit labeling.

Control units of the machine operation, the buttons “On”, “Off”, “Start”, “Stop”, are shown in Attachment 1.

7. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.

CAUTION: do not use without grounding.

The machine should be operated, and, in case of the fixed version, additionally grounded by means of a
conductor with a section providing 1/3 conductivity of the phase conductors, but not less than 1.5 mm 2 in
copper and 2 mm2 in aluminum. The resistance between the grounding and each easily touched metal part of
the machine, which may be voltage-carrying, must not exceed 0.1 Ohm.

The total resistance of the grounding devices of all repeated grounding of the neutral conductor of the power
line should not be more than 10 Ohm.

When working with dressed seeds, it is necessary to conduct medical examinations and provide personnel
with personal protective equipment.

When using the machine without a cyclone or aspiration hood of wastes, the operator must work in dustproof
goggles and a respirator.

CAUTION!

Mounting (dismounting) of the machine is performed only when reenergized.

PROHIBITED!
It is prohibited to do the following:
• open voltage-carrying units and blocks;
• operate the machine with the removed protective elements of the rotating parts of the machine;
• operate the machine without reading this operation manual.
• make changes to the program of the frequency converter operation.

8. INSTALLATION

8.1. Recommendations for the machine installation.

When installing machines in sheds or a grain cleaning unit for heap, for easy maintenance, access from all
sides must be at least 1200 mm.

The machine must be leveled using screw supports.

Although entering garbage into the air intake does not worsen the operation of the machine, it is still worth
keeping the workplace clean.

8.2. Installation order of the separator before operation.

1. Mount the machine at the place of further operation.

2. When the machine is delivered with the hopper and reflector dismounted, install them in place by fixing
them with bolts.
3. If the machine was delivered with an outlet for light fractions, then install the outlet, fixing it with bolts
to the reflector.

4. Install the feed and discharge conveyor so as to ensure a continuous separation process.

8.3. Power supply connection.

Connect the grounding to a common grounding loop. Connect the power cable to the mains with voltage of
220 W/380 W. When the machine is connected, the phasing is of no importance! The machine must be
connected to the electric mains with a cable which cross-section is not less than the cross-section indicated in
Table 2, which corresponds to the Electrical installation code, taking into account the losses in the supply
line.

9. 1. Redosled korišćenja ASM separatora

1. Postaviti dugme na poziciju “0” na “Fioci za dovod sirovine”.

2. Napuniti koš sa sirovinom.

3. Uključiti mašinu, treba da se upale svetla “Network” i na “Off”. Ukoliko je samo “Network” svetlo
upaljeno a svetlo na “Off” nije, odmah pritisnuti dugme STOP.

4. Pritisnuti zeleno dugme na “On” da se upali svetlo. Dugme za regulisanje vetra staviti u srednji položaj.

5. Okrenuti dugme za “Start” u smeru “On”, tada će ventilator da krene polako da duva.

6. Mašina se isključuje u suprotnom redosledu.

7. U slučaju hitne potrebe pritisnutidugme STOP

9.2. Štelovanje mašine

Primarni status za selektiranje.

1. Uključiti mašini kao što je gore navedeno.

2. Zatvoriti sve fijoke, dok su za fijoke 1 i 2, 4 i 5, u neutralnom položaju.

3. Otvoriti prolaz od koša“Open” zatim podešavati dugme za vetar sa maksimalnim mogućim izduvavanjem,
istovremeno sprečavajući izbacivanje semenja sa vetrom kroz izlaz separatora.

Na ovaj način, sa pravim prilagođavanjem, mašina može da otkloni 30% do 60% đubreta iz semena u
zavisnosti od kvaliteta semena,. Kada se separator koristi na ovaj način očišćeno seme se dobija u svakoj
fijoci.

Pre-cleaning mode

1. Uključiti mašinu.

2. Zatvoriti sve fijoke, dok su za fijoke 1 i 2, 4 i 5, u neutralnom položaju.

3. Postaviti otvor koša na 0.5:1 i rotiramo dugme za kontrolu vetra tako da korovsko seme pada u fijoke 4 i
5. Čisto seme pada u sve druge fijoke.

Kalibracija

1. Uključiti mašinu.

2. Zatvoriti sve fijoke, dok su za fijoke 1 i 2, 4 i 5, u neutralnom položaju.

3. Postaviti otvor koša na 0.5:1 i rotiramo dugme za kontrolu vetra dok ne dobijemo isti odnos selektiranog
semena u fijoci 2 i 5. Ukoliko se želi povećati količina selektiranog semena otvara se još više koš i povećava
se jačina vetra dok se ne izjednače tokovi selektiranog semena u fijoci 2 i 5. Sa ispravnim štelovanjem
kamenje ide u 1 fijoku, najteže semenje u drugu fijoku, manje teška semena u treću fijoku, izlomljena semena,
zaražena semena moljcima, biljni ostatci odlaze u 4 i 5 fijoku.

Adjustment of rotary curtains.

When the machine is operated in the above modes, except for the calibration mode, the position of the rotary
curtains is selected by default, when the return trays are closed, and the rotary curtains between the trays 1
and 2, and the trays 4 and 5, are in a neutral position.

When calibrating the grain, the operator can independently make adjustments to the quality of the outgoing
grain material, by moving the rotary curtains. If it is necessary to obtain a calibrated grain material of a
higher class, reverse trays can be used, opening the rotary curtains that cover them by an amount determined
experimentally.

Involving reverse trays enables to select grain that has such a weight (size) at which it falls on the boundary
of the fractions to be separated, and could fall into any of the adjacent trays. This method allows the
“boundary” grain to be sent for recalibration.

Any manipulations with rotary curtains, for grains of various kinds, various humidity, various degree of
contamination, and grade are individual, and are selected by an operator, depending on the task.

Please, note: Increase in the productivity of the machine can be maintained until the quality of the grain
calibration (cleaning) starts to deteriorate, or until the grain is ejected along with the exhaust air. For
different crops, the calibration deterioration threshold is different, so the operator determines it
independently.
In the calibration mode, irrespective of the operator’s actions, there is also a loss of light impurities from the
source material as it passes the separation chamber, that is, cleaning is carried out together with the
calibration.

 11. MAINTENANCE OF ASM SEPARATORS

Cleaning.

After finishing work or switching to another crop, the machine must be cleaned of dust and residues of the
raw material.

It is performed as follows:

Turn on the machine, set the maximum power of the impeller, open the hopper flap. In this mode, let the
machine run for 3-5 minutes, then do the same in “REVERSE” mode. If necessary, carry out additional
blowing of the machine with compressed air.

12. TRANSPORTATION.

The machine is transported by road or railway vehicles, in accordance with the rules for the carriage of goods
by road or railway vehicles, approved by the Ministry of Transport of Ukraine.

Placement and securing of cargo packages is carried out in accordance with the current technical conditions
of loading and securing of cargoes, approved by the Ministry of Transport of Ukraine.

Loading and unloading of separators is carried out in two ways: with a forklift or with a crane.

When using a forklift:

The forks of the forklift are placed in the guides located at the base of the frame from the front side.

When using a crane:

Strapping machine, hopper is performed according to the scheme.

13. STRICT PROHIBITION.

It is strictly prohibited:
- To perform strapping of the machine without the traverse.
- To perform unloading and loading of the hopper by means of a forklift. The placement and securing of
cargo spaces on vehicles must ensure a stable position when traveling along the road; displacement and
impacts are not allowed.

When transporting the machine in covered vehicles, it is allowed to transport without packaging, or with
partial package of individual cargo spaces, providing protection from mechanical damage.

14. WARRANTY

The manufacturer guarantees that the ASM machines meet the requirements of the technical specifications of
TUU 29.3-37090655-001: 2010, subject to the rules of transportation and operation specified in this manual.

Warranty period of the machine is 24 months from the date of delivery.

If an unauthorized intrusion into the machine’s units is detected, changes to the program settings are made,
the guarantee is eliminated.
