Compensation (PEUC)

PEUC
Part of the CARES Act, the Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation
(PEUC) is a temporary program that provide up to 13 weeks of 100% federally funded
benefits to claimants who have exhausted their regular UI claim.

PEUC ELIGIBILITY:

be eligible for PEUC, you may be eligible if:
a. Must have exhausted all regular state UI benefits (26 weeks) of state UI
benefits on or after July 1, 2019);
OR b. Claimant’s UI benefit year ended on or after July 1, 2019 (provided a
new UI benefit year eligibility cannot be established);

• PEUC is an extension of a regular UI claim. If eligible to file PEUC, claimants
receive the same weekly benefit amount as on their regular UI claim. In

number four (4) for the 13-week extended benefits under the Pandemic Emergency
Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) claim.
