Flanagan’s Restaurant and Pub, Kitchener, Ontario 2005-2010


 Provided quick, efficient and effective food service as a server and prep chef. 2005-2006
 Promoted a clean and healthy restaurant environment applying Smart Serve ™ as governed by the
A.G.C.O., as well as the food service standards of the Public Health Board of Waterloo Region.

 Managed all of the day to day operations including sales, customer service, record keeping and
accounting, marketing, ad campaigns, resource planning, ordering, inventory control and
purchasing of >$350,000 annually.
 Administered Advertising and Entertainment budget of $40,000 annually 
 Achieved record breaking sales volumes in a one day period and consecutively for several months
of the year, resulting in the highest sales on record in 2008 & 2009.
 Achieved and maintained annual sales volumes of >$1million
 Developed new guidelines and job descriptions for employees, resulting in an increase in employee
retention due to clearer expectations upon hire.
 Designed and Implemented Excel Spreadsheets to analyze month over month sales for particular
menu items, in order to track and improve on our costs of doing business.
 Designed, created and implemented new menus of all types including Breakfast, Lunch, and
Entrée, Dessert, Special and Banquet menus.
 Developed a Catering Division with a new menu which resulted in a 10% food sales increase for
2009.
