nearly half of the travel. Clothes almost secured 1/4th of the total sales by producing 24% of sales.
Music and film industry crossed the book sellers by 2% by scoring 21% .

After a decade the values took a abrupt turn and Music industry surpassed every other company by
selling 33% in total through e-commerce. On the other hand, Travel sector experrienced a loss of 7%
by making 29% in 2013. Clothes company suffer a downgrade of 8% by producing the sales of only
16% through internet. Infact, Which was the nethermost in 2013. Books find a very small but
noticeable increase in their sales and opted 22% of the total sales.

Which industry??

Only two 2% difference is not significant enough to mention.

The given pair of pie charts illustrates sales volume of retail sectors in New Zealand in 2003 and
2013. It is quite obvious from the infographics that the citizens of New Zealand changed their
spending habits during 10 year span.
In 2003, travel sales dominated the retail market with 36% share. In contrast, both books and music
sales had minimal market presence with approximately 20% share for each category. Interestingly,
New Zealanders spent a quarter of online shopping expenditure on clothing.

After a decade, books/film sector became the leader in the online spending market with a whopping
33% market share. On the other hand, both clothing and travel sector lost their market share by
approximately 7.5% each. There was a slight increment in the share of books in online shopping.

Therefore, during 2003 to 2013, the market share of film/music and books improved significantly
while the market share of travel and clothing dropped at an alarming rate.
