1. The pie charts below show the online shopping sales for retail sectors in New
Zealand in 2003 and 2013.

The pie charts illustrate the proportion of travel, film/music, books, and clothes sold by
the Internet in New Zealand between 2003 and 2013.
Overall, the percentage of travel and clothes sold online were both decreased,
compared to the figure for film/ music were sharply increased.
In 2003, The proportion of online shopping sales for the travel retail sector was
highest, at 36%, compared to the figure for books was lowest, at 19%. 21% and 24%
were retail sales of film/music and clothes respectively.
In 2013, The rate of film/ music sold by the internet significantly increased by 11% to
33% followed by travel at 29% and books at 22%. Meanwhile, the figure for clothes
was slightly decreased by 8% to 16%.

2. The chart shows the changes that took place in three different areas of crime in
Newport city center from 2003 to 2012.
The line chart illustrates how the crime rate in Burglary, Car Theft, and Robbery
changed between 2003 and 2012.
Overall, it is noticeable that the rate of crime in Burglary sharply decreased during the
period shown, compared to the figure for Car Theft slightly increased. Additionally,
there was remained unchanged in the number of crimes in Robbery.
In 2003, The number of criminals in Burgary was highest, at 3,400, while the figure
for Robbery was lowest, around 500. 2300 was the number of crimes in Car Theft.
In 2012, There was a sharp decrease of 2000 to 1400 in the crime rate in Burglary,
while Car Theft saw a slight increase of 400 to 2700 in the crime rate. Meanwhile, The
crime rate in Robbery experienced remained stable at roughly 500.

3. The pie charts show the quantities of goods transported in the UK between
1974 and 2002 by four different modes of transport.
The line graph illustrates the transportation of goods in the UK by using road, water, rail, and
pipeline transports from 1974 to 2002.
Overall, it is noticeable that the amount of goods transported by road is always higher than the
other 3 items, compared to the figure for pipeline was lowest. Additionally, there was
remained unchanged in the transportation of goods by using rail.
In 1974, The rate of goods transported by road was highest at roughly 70 million tonnes
followed by water and rail at around 40 million tonnes. By contrast, only 5 million tonnes of
goods was transported by pipeline.
In 2002, there was a significant increase of 30 to 90 million tonnes in the rate of goods
transportation by using road followed by water at more than 60 million tonnes and rail at 40
million tonnes. Similarly, Pipeline transport saw a slight rise of 15 to 20 million tonnes.
