The pie charts present data on the online sales of travel, film or music,
books and clothes in New Zealand in 2003 and 2013. Overall, it can be
seen that the retail of film or music and books has increased while that of
travel and clothes declined over the 10-year period.
In 2003, travel had the highest proportion of online sales, accounting
for 36% of the total, while clothing sales constituted 24%. Over a period of
10 years, there has been a decline of 7% and 8% subsequently in the two
aforementioned categories. This has led to the proportion of travel
decreased to become the second largest category, whereas clothing
accounted for the smallest proportion among the four categories in 2013.
In contrast to travel and clothes, there was an observed rise in the
proportion of sales for films, music, and books in New Zealand over 10
years. According to the given data, in 2003, the category of film or music
held a share of 21% in total online sales, ranking third. However, in 2013,
this category experienced a remarkable surge of 12%, reaching the peak
sales of that year. The category of 2003 books with the lowest quantity,
comprising 19% of the total, experienced a marginal increase of 3% and
attained a proportion of 22% in 2013, thereby securing the third position
among four categories.
