The supplied line graph illustrates data on the amount of money earned from
selling children’s books, adults’ fiction books and educational books in one
nation from 2002 to 2006.
As can be seen from the graph, the amount of turnover of children’s book
was generally higher than that of the others over the given period.
Specifically, the figure for turnover swelled considerably from just under
$35 million in 2002 to about $55 million in 2006.
Regarding to educational book, the figure for revenue increased moderately
from $25 million to about $33 million between 2002 and 2003, but then
decreased gradually to about $25 million again in 2005. After that, the figure
for revenue rose substantially to about $34 million in 2006.
When it comes to Adults’ book, the sales declined significantly from $45
million in 2002 to about $37 million in 2003, but then the sales grew slightly
to about $40 million in 2004. Next, the amount of sales went down steadily
to about 30 million at the end of the period.
Overall, the sales of children’s books and educational books tended to rise
while that of adults’ fiction tended to drop over the five-year period.
