The bar chart illustrates the turnover from sales of five categories of fiction

books in the period between 2006 and 2010.


In general, the sales of young adult books, classics books and science-fiction
and fantasy ones decreased over the period given, while those for two other
kinds showed a considerable fluctuation. It is also clear that romance one was
the most preferred among the categories.
Looking at the details, having remained stable at $30,000.00 in the first two
years, the turnover of young adult books then witnessed a decrease to
approximately $20,000.00 in 2008 and increase gradually year on year,
finishing at around $30,000.00 in 2010. By 2007, there were decreases in
classics and sci-fi and fantasy book sales, $30,000.00 and $20,000.00
respectively. Following this, classics books saw a considerable fluctuation
between $20,000.00 and $10,000.00 in the last three years, finishing at
$10,000.00 in 2010, whereas sci-fi and fantasy one worsened in the next two
years, and then rose negligibly to under $20,000.00 in 2010.
As regards the revenue of romance one, it was about $80,000.00 in 2006 and
reached a peak at $110,000.00 one year later. Following this, despite falling
sharply to approximately $70,000.00 in 2008, the figure then went up gradually,
finishing at over $80,000.00 in 2010. Meanwhile, mystery works showed the
same trend with a significant fluctuation over the period. The sales of mystery
work surged dramatically from about $60,000.00 in 2006 to over $80,000.00 in
2007 and fluctuated around $50,000.00 in the last three years.
