The charts provided demonstrate the internet sales in term of peddle in Canada

between 2005 and 2010.


Overall, all sectors enormously fluctuated over 5 years. While the period from 2005 to
2010 witnessed a rise of the figure for video games and food & beverage, the statistic of 2
remaining sectors showed a reversed tendency.
The proportion of online sales for Food & Beverage stood at 22% in 2005 before
tremendously climbing to 32% within 5 years. Similarly, the data on internet sales of Video
Games steadily increased by 5%, higher than 2005 with 18%.
Additionally, the percentage of online shopping sales for 2 remaining sectors saw a
downward trend during 5 years. The most dramatic fall was in Home Furnishings, where the
figure declined from 25% to 15% during this period. There was a decrease of the share of
online sales for Electronics & Appliance making it reduce to the second rank which is lower
than that of internet sales for Food & Beverage.
