(Intro) The chart illustrates how many teenage boys and girls in Vietnam engaged in different
pastimes in 2010.
(Overview)
Overall, the number of boys adoring outdoor activities outnumbered that of girls. In addition, it is also
apparent that there are not many differences in both genders’ interests in DVDs and Computer
games.

Overall, it can be seen that the vast majority of boys were keen on doing sports while activities
involving art and craft were girls’ favorite. In addition, the proportion of girls enjoying computer games
is virtually the same as that of boys.

Body 1:
The proportion of boys taken part in going to the park in 2010 was around 25% and that of girls were
considerably lower with slightly higher than 10%. Similarly, just under 30% of boys attended in Sports,
compared to solely around 12% of the other sex. A different pattern can be seen in the figures for
Art and Craft, with teenage girls far exceeding that of boys with respective statistics being 25% and
quite above 5%.

At 27% of the boys in the survey said that they often played sports in their free time, compared to
only 12% of their female counterparts. Similarly, the percentage of teenage boys going to the park
was far higher than that of girls, with respective figures being 25% and 12%. Dramatic
differences were also seen in the proportion of girls and boys doing art and craft, which was 25%
and 4% in that order. As for reading books, around 18% of girls enjoyed this activity, while only
10% of boys did so.

The percentages of girls who were fond of hanging out at the park and doing sports were at
around 12% each, while the figures for boys were significantly higher, at 25% and roughly 28%
respectively. About 25% of girls enjoyed art and craft as a freetime activity, compared to only
7% of boys. Similarly, to a lesser extent, the proportion of female readers was about 17%,
which was higher than that of their counterparts, at just 10%.

Body 2:

The percentage of teenagers playing video games was the same for both genders, with 15% of the
total boys and girls in the survey having this leisure pursuit. While 15% of boys also chose to watch
DVDs in their leisure time, a slightly higher percentage of girls (approximately 18%) did the same.

DVDs were chosen by approximately 15% of teenage boys, and the figure for girls was slightly
higher, at greatly lower than 20%. Regarding Computer Games, the percentages of the two genders
saw almost no differences with both being 15%.
The figures for Computer Games and DVDs did not witness many disparities, with statistics being
seen in both sexes are virtually similar in their fascination for Computer Games. As for DVDs, 15% of
boys fond of this leisure pursuit, in comparison to 18% of the other gender.
