In the UK there are lots of sports which most people don’t practice because they are either
expensive or less common compared to the rest. So thus, this article will you show some
current sport trends in the country.

As shown in the bellow bar chart, cycling is more popular nowadays with a slightly increased
since 2013. Likewise, Handball has had a significant increase from 6% to 12%, It could suggest
an influence from local team victories over the season. In contrast to Snowboarding, people
has reduced their participation from around 14% to 8%. This decrease could have shown
because of the economic crisis, people who practice this sport need a lot of money to buy
equipment and go abroad.

These trends could also be generated by the lack of participation by these sports in social
medias. Most of young people use this pathway to get some information and keep up with
current trends. For instance, The North Face is one of most popular brands in winter sports
equipment whose marketing projects are focused on social networks which encourage people
to practice those sports and therefore buy more of their products.
