Rags2Riches is a profit social enterprise established in Manila, Philippines,
whose mission is to empower disadvantaged Filipinos, especially women, with income prospects and market access through livelihood for the company's artisans and their communities. Handmade items like Backpacks, Clothing, Clutches/Wallets, Crossbody Bags, Fanny Packs, Home items, Totes, and Handbags manufactured in the company. The leadership qualities she had shown to the people around her that made the business go big were accountability, communication, empathy, humility, and vision. Reese Fernandez-Ruiz, a social entrepreneur, has been uplifting communities and exhibiting Filipino artistry for over a decade. Reese and her crew at Rags2Riches, which is in its 13th year, continue to make eco-ethical designs out of up-cycled materials and indigenous fabrics. She showed the essential quality as a person who helped her social enterprise was "accountability." As she mentioned in her interviews that "challenges do not go away, they just evolve," having this as her quote strengthens her responsibility towards the subject matters of her craftmanship. Suppose you look and observe the way she speaks. In that case, she reminds me of those Asian business owners who also run Non-profit organizations where they are very composed in how they talk to people. Communication was her advantage pushed people to do quality work and sell their items. Empathy is valuable because it allows us to understand how others are experiencing to respond appropriately; the contact Reese has to her people cannot be paid by money. These made her strive more. Reese graduated from Ateneo De Manila University with a high degree. She is very educated than her people. In her case, people observed her have humbleness in her. "Vision" is next vital to accountability because the vision is the one that drives a business like Rags2Riches to its goal. We are glad that Reese is a vision-oriented person. The reason companies fail is that they lack the outlook of their craft. The foundations must stay intact. Qualities like what Reese possesses had made her business' voice heard in the social world. It is by these that a company is based correctly. The decade of entrepreneurship and Filipino craftsmanship celebration of Reese Fernandez-Ruiz is still making waves. Reese and her team at Rags2Riches continue to create eco-friendly designs using upcycled materials. Her challenger had molded her to become a great businessperson in this country. People rely on each other and Reese and see the beauty of it.
