for over 200,000 glasses per year. There was no performance tracking. I tracked some information to
show the owner we needed to have a production cost. From there we Increased to 25 production workers
under my supervision. Helped improve production numbers by entering results into a tablet on Excel and
capturing the cost of production per glass. This was then built in to our data program to monitor key
production indicators. I identified and shared the key drivers to success with the staff and implemented
goals. We met our production deadlines and targets.

50,000 sows and produced 700,000 pigs and each site had an operating cost of about $250,000 per

• Assigned a significant increase in management duties based upon proven business skills that increased
production, lowered costs, and increased profits:
• Saved money and bolstered profits by streamlining procedures, this was done by organization of the
units and removing unnecessary methods and techniques cleaning and streamlining the process. Then
implementing processes that would sustain the process to the point we had to reduce the staff size.
• Improved production by utilizing a team approach and collaborating with staff to analyze production,
identify weaknesses, brainstorm ideas, and implement solutions.
• Seized an opportunity to improve efficiency and prevent injuries by redesigning multiple systems;
resulted in reducing a 2-4 hour jobs to only 1-2 hours.
• Reduced costs from $45 to $32.40 per unit by examining financial records and identifying excess costs,
overuse of supplies, and inefficient schedules; trained staff on utilizing cost-saving measures.
• Increased profitability by utilizing management software; subsequently participated in the
development, installation and staff training of a new management software program.

• Collaborated with a global management company in the development of and electronic identification
device (EID) to capture data and improve record management by having real time data. Used the real
time data to direct employees to making good decisions.
• Identified employees with management potential and developed an 8-week academy to improve
management skills; wrote training materials and taught several classes.
