First, let’s start with the best league in the world – The Premier League. Over the summer many world class
players have left this league such as Eden hazard – his £89million departure upset A LOT of Chelsea fans and
the overall league as he was a player who was Widley regarded as a one of the best in the world. Despite the
loss of players there has been many additions to the teams in the premier league. The table above shows the
top buys from each team in the premier league. Overall, in the premier league there was 444 deals worth £1.8
billion. Did you read that right? £1.8 billion. Did you grasp that? Over £1 billion in under 2 months.

Out of the top 5 – there surprisingly hasn’t been many transfers – a few
decent purchases, but overall not many. Isn’t that interesting? well, more
of the more expensive, special transfers occurred with teams outside the
top such as Arsenal signing the young player – Nicolas Pepe for a record
signing £72 million. He had scored 22 goals and 11 assists for Lille Fc in the
Ligue 1. An astonishing 22 goals and 11 assists – could he potentially be
worth more than arsenal payed for him? Furthermore, now arsenal have a
formidable attack with – Pepe, Lacazette and Aubameyang for the 2019/20
season hoping to reach the top 5 this season.

Everyone has splashed some money this summer-

Smaller clubs such as west ham, watford and everton have also signed many talented players such as Moise
Kean from Juventus and Raul from Benfica, despite breaking their transfer record, it was a good deal.
Newcatsle signed ayoze Perez, for an insanely cheap £13 million. Isnt that bargain ? This summer there has
been many clubs who have overbought and many clubs who received great bargains and deals. Well, we will
all see how they all play in the upcoming season football fans. It’s a transfer window no-one expected, crazy
transfers, unlikely departures and obviously a hefty amount of money spent.

Is the triple signing the answer for Manchester United?

Also, the famous Manchester united had slashed out a lot of money this summer – their most prominent and
possibly contriversial signing of Harry Maguire for £80 million an incredbile amount of money. Was it a good
purchase? Moreover, they also signed a promising right-back, Wan-Bissaka who last season had the most
interceptions (84) ,most take-ons(90), most clearnces (129), most tackles won(129), and the highest tackle
success rate at 94%. Was this a good purchase? Also, Manchester United signed the youngster Daniel James
from Swansea FC, who has been showing postive signs scoring a goal against Chelsea in a 4-0 win. So
