Students will be instructed to gather materials at the door and have a set at their table. Tablets will be
passed out after words to students and be put to the side during the short lecture. Once all the students are
prepared, I will return to my cart with my ELMO and begin the lesson.

“OK Students, we will be learning to the basics of multiplying small number and make our way up to
three-digit numbers. I will go over a few problems and then give you some to do on you own. Afterword,
you will use the app “Photomath” and check your work. If you got something wrong, then check work out
button on your tablet and see where you made the error.”
Example we will go over
1. 5 x 3 =?
2. 4 x 2 =?
3. 9 x 1 =?

After we go over these three problems, I will take any

question they have and proceed to give them their
problems they need to work out given the time limit of 5
mins.
Problems students have to do
1. 2 x 6 =?
2. 6 x 3 =?
3. 7 x 4 =?

After 5 mins is up, Student will be told to get on their tablets and check their math. Students will check
their work with the camera from the tablet and see if they made any errors. If an error has occurred, then
students will be explained where they did wrong. Once students are more confident in their work, we will
move on to double digit math.
“Next we will be using two number Times each other. Well work out the following problems as a class.”
Example we work out together
1. 22 x 2 =?
2. 20 x 10 =?
3. 11 x 33 =?
After we complete all three examples as a class, I will then check for understanding by asking question
about the three examples. Once all question has been answering, students will be given three question to
do on their own.

2
Problems student must do,
1. 11 x 9 =?
2. 20 x 60 =?
3. 47 x 24 =?
Once student have completed these three questions, they will
be asked to use the tablet to check their work. Any question
ask will be answered as well. After all students are done
working on the problems and checked on their tablet, we will
move on to timing 3-digit problems.

Problems we do as a class are:

1. 241 x 5 =?
2. 300 x 15 =?
3. 426 x 123 =?

3
After we go over all three problems, students will be given the chance to ask their questions. Once all
question has been answering, student will be set off on their own finish three question independently.

Problems for students to do

1. 345 x 2 =?
2. 458 x 95 =?
3. 753 x 159 =?

After students have completed the three question and review the answer on “PhotoMath”, students will
return their tablets to the cart. Any question will be answered at this time.

Once all tablets have been put away, a small quiz will be given about what they just learned.
Students will have the remainder of the time to do it.
