Art forms in India are in the brink of extinction. There are only very few
places in India catering to these art forms. I would like to design a space where
people come to explore all art forms including fine arts, martial & performance
arts.
A space for an art appreciation is a social space where all these art forms
thrive and exist to educate the present and future generations instilling
traditional & cultural values.
Art forms plays major role in our society since ancient times transferring
traditional knowledge and values through the generations. Changing social
paradigm leaves no avenues for such forms to thrive. This jeopardizes the future
generation lacking access to these knowledges .so main thing is to develop the
space which act as an platform for all art and artist. The objective is ,
To develop a program where art and art related activities such as workshops,
expo, fest, happens. Also a research centre for exploring the past and future of art
forms.
• Design which have more flexibility to accommodate all type of users by giving
more common areas, outdoor areas
• Design which speaks about art through the building by using wall paints,
sculptures everywhere it is possible
• Scale of the design is big so use of an tensile structure to make an design
interesting and easy of construction, low cost compare to R.C.C. and less time
