I. Identifying Information
Program Title Project REACES

Draft the project proposal. Identified stakeholders from
LGUs, NGOs, alumni, and other private individuals. Develop
localized reading materials and interactive cue cards
Effective reading programs are consistent with reading
competency as shown by the school's essential reading
practices and activities. Project provides a solid basis for
effective reading interventions and techniques. Proponents
and potential stakeholders will gather to provide localized

in the school.
The Project REACES will subsequently be monitored and
assessed using a school-based evaluation tool to make
additional adjustments to the effective implementation of
reading programs. Similarly, a reading center will be built in
preparation for reading sessions throughout this school
year's face-to-face lessons.

II. Narrative/Executive Summary

Camuning Elementary School is to make every learner a fluent reader amidst the
COVID-19 pandemic in support of the execution of the K to 12 Basic Education Program and
conformity with DepEd Memorandum #173, s. 2019. CES contemplates that there is a need
to improve every learner's reading competence and to foster a reading culture, since reading
is a necessary skill in all learning domains.
Effective reading programs are comparable with reading competency as indicated by
essential reading practices and activities at the school. Project REACES is flexible in its
approach to laying the groundwork for effective reading interventions and methods.
Proponents and possible stakeholders will meet to produce localized reading materials,
interactive cue cards, a school-based reading assessment tool, and a reading center in the
school.
Project REACES is part of the CES Brigada Eskwela's commitment to close the gap. It is
meant to enhance every learner's reading performance via various interventions and support
programs built up through a collaboration between the school and stakeholders. It is an
advocacy that will improve every learner's reading skills, allowing them to become
competent and autonomous readers in their grade level.
Project REACES is made up of numerous activities that will reignite the passion of
reading in every student. It also attempts to encourage people to read instead of watching
television, surfing the internet, or playing online games in their spare time.

IV. Major Problem Encountered
Due to current health crisis, most parents have misconceptions on the opening of
classes this school year and the kind of learning modality to be adopted by the school as
revealed during the conduct of the remote enrollment as reflected in the SLCP. Despite of
these queries and issues, personnel were able to resolve through regular updating and
posting of DepEd issuances and announcement for the opening of classes. Health and
safety of teachers and learners is still the major consideration in the opening of classes in
this new normal. Among others, the major problem encountered is the budget for the
reproduction and printing of modules to be distributed to our learners who prefer the modular
distance learning in case the allotted budget from the SDO is insufficient. Thus, pledges and
commitment are highly encouraged to our potential stakeholders as partner in education for
the printing and reproduction of modules.
V. Other Insights
To mention the rationale of the Project REACES “Camuning Elementary School will
continue its commitment in serving Kapampangan learners and the community for a quality,
relevant, liberating, and accessible basic education amid COVID-19 pandemic,” the following
insights were gleaned:
1. Expansion and application of knowledge. The Project REACES team collaborated

with parents, students, and other stakeholders to develop a strategy that aligned with
the circumstances of instructors, students, and the community without jeopardizing
everyone's health and safety.

2. The importance of shared governance. Each member is responsible for ensuring

the success of Project REACES. As a result, their important input and active
engagement have a bigger influence in preparing the school, teachers, parents,
students, and community for the new normal education.
