time out of a whole group
Create an account on Weebly if you don’t already have
one

Choose a domain name (it is free unless you want to

have upgraded features)  Spacer and Divider makes the layout of your
page just as you want it
Pick a theme! You can build your page how you want
with an appropriate theme!

Building Your Page

 Upload any YouTube video for your page by
Start with a clean slate by erasing all of the content that putting the link to the video
you don’t want. Usually the theme templates contain a
lot of unnecessary material.

Changing the Background  Visitors can leave their information with you
with the Contact Form feature
Click on the background image and scroll to the bottom
of the image. Click “Edit Background.”

Adding a Section

On the left side of the screen, you will see elements

that you can add to your site. Click and drag the icon
“Section” on to your page  Visitors can RSVP to an event with the RSVP
Form

Your choices are as follows: Explore each one

 Buttons can redirect users to a different part of

your page or an external link
 Adding Pages
Add as many different categories as you like to your
page. Click the “+” to add a new page. Creating a new
page will automatically update on your homepage so
visitors to your site can navigate it easily.
*Note: Your theme must stay consistent throughout
your whole website. You can’t change the theme from
page to page
Creating a Subpage
Creating a subpage makes your website seem more
organized. You want to do this when you have similar
topics for your page. An example of this would be an
“Works” page where you would list the subpages as
“Performances” and “Choreographed Pieces.”
To create a subpage, move the page that you created
under the category that you want, and then indent.
Things to Consider..
Copyright Laws
As your website begins to grow in popularity,
people will start to start looking more closely to the
images and the content that you are using. To be
safe, find “Creative Commons Licensed” photos so
there is no issue of copyright. Using Google images,
click tools, usage rights, and select creative
commons licensed.
Your own photos and videos are not at issue for a
copyright violation.
YouTube Videos
To avoid your YouTube uploads to be flagged due
to music rights, upload the video as “Unlisted.” An
unlisted video will not be available to the public to
see on YouTube, but you can still share the video
privately. Somewhere on your page, post that you
do not own the rights to the music for any music
that you did not produce.
