ONE OF THOSE Walter D'Arcy Cresswell
Written and performed by David Charteris
Walter D'Arcy Cresswell: - self-proclaimed poetic genius, wife and
child deserter, philosopher, sponger, scab, snob, sycophant, hypocrite,
Directed by Mark Rayner
interfering prig, blackmailer, and cad.
He could well deserve the Shakespearian description:
Technician - Austin Mason
" God made him: let him pass for a man"
Funny, tragic, and full of human interest, this is the story of Walter D'Arcy
Cresswell, self-proclaimed "soldier/poet" and his relationship with
Whanganui Mayor Charles Ewing Mackay.
A compelling tale of the consequences of the relationship which happened
exactly 100 years ago.
