Directions: After learning about the essential background of literature, share to the class what you have realized. Compose a short
reflection response. The class is interested to know: (1) what you have learned, (2) what your favorite part is, and (3) the importance of
what you have learned.

WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED
In Branches of Literature, I learned that writing is
a long lasting reflection of significant human.
Experience expressed in well-chosen and organized
language.
Pre-Colonial to Spanish Colonial Period During this
period, I learned that literature was inherited by
stories and word of mouth. But when the Spaniards
arrived, the conqueror destroyed all the written
literature he found and made the secretary system
inoperable.
American to Japanese Period I learned that a short
story was introduced. d during the stay of the
Americans. There is a Japanese novel dealing with
the unpleasant social reality in which Filipinos
lived at the time.

Literary Criticism: Concepts I learned that there are
four parts need to do it. Analyze properly Poetry, it
contains the title, First, the main part and the last
Conclusion. And I learned how to analyze properly.
WHAT YOUR FAVORITE PART IS
My fave part if after learning the literature
is we we're supposed to appreciate these branches and
how we're supposed to utilize, adapt, and perform
things like drama, as well as how we're expected to
enhance our methods.
My fave part is I ever had emphasized literature in
classes because they wanted us to develop fresh
perspectives on the world and to have our minds
expanded by it. I learned to look at a piece of literature
as a method to comprehend the time and people who
created it, as well as to look for the passages that spoke
to me personally at the time and place they were
written. I see the concern with ideas as the central
theme of literature. We create and study literature to
nurture our own ideas as well as to learn about and
explore those of others. Neither reading nor writing
are optional for an intellectual.
IMPORTANCE OF WHAT YOU HAVE
LEARNED
Literature is a mirror of mankind and a means for us
to understand one another. We may learn about
another person's thinking by listening to their voice. I
feel that literature is vital because of its purpose, and i
n a culture that is growing increasingly disconnected
from human connection, books generate a discourse.
Studying pre-colonial literature in the Philippines is
vital because it provides insight into the foundations
of the literary prose presented under the Spanish
colonialism. Reading literature is enjoyable since it
allows you to learn about our own past.
It is important to study the branches of literature
because it develops and affects our daily lives,
connecting individuals with larger truths and ideas in a
society as it makes a way for people to record their
thoughts and experiences that are accessible to others,
through fictionalized accounts of the experience.
