PREFACE
Being a student is a very challenging task, there are so many requirements and
projects that you must finish. It requires a lot of effort and patience. Studying for
almost 12 years of my life taught me so many things. It taught me what is right and
wrong, good and bad. It also taught me how to be confident and be proud of who
you are. I am a very shy person, an introvert person so studying really boost my
confidence, it changed me. But being who i am today is not an easy process, I have
to encounter so many challenges in school.

Education, one word that is easy to write and pronounce but is very hard to
achieve. You have to invest a lot of time and effort for you to graduate. There are
so many requirements that you must finish and one of them is the portfolio. Since
there is a pandemic and people are not allowed to go outside, we cannot perform or
do an immersion so our teacher only required us to make a portfolio. It is very
important for us to pass this so that we can graduate senior high. It is one of the
requirements that we must finish to graduate. Making a portfolio is not an easy job,
we have to select the best three artifacts or works that we have finished in every
subject included in the portfolio. I have to choose wisely and choose the most
memorable work for me. The work that left a great impression for me and has
achieved a great score from my teacher. Choosing is really hard because there are
so many works that i have done in every subject. It was hard but enjoyable at the
same time because i felt happy making my portfolio. It felt satisfying because I can
finally feel that i am almost there. I am so close to graduate and receive my
diploma. After all the hardworks, I am finally going to graduate senior high school
and start another chapter of my life.

Studying made me realize a lot of things. It help me understand and be a great

member of our society. It improve my learnings and teach me a lot of things that i
needed to know. It taught me how to act my age and how to be a respectful person
that is also respected. It taught me how to cope up with problems and find solution
for it. It helps me become a mature person. I wouln't become like this if not for
studying. It mold me as who I am today.

 Subject 1: Disciplines and Ideas in the Social Sciences
Reflection:

This subject introduces students the basic concepts, subjects and methods of
inquiry in the discipline that compromise the social science. It discusses influential
thinkers and ideas in these disciplines and relate these ideas to the Philippine
setting the current global trends. This subject taught taught me why we have
patterns of our usual behavior. Why we do certain things, why we follow a specific
belief and why we are prohibited to do certain acts. These things affect our
everyday decisions so they are very important. Disciplines and Ideas in the Social
Sciences help me learn a lot about myself and the world around me. It taught me a
lot about human lives and their nature. It taught me how human survive in their
everyday lives and how the world works.

Reflection:

This subject helps the students to develop practical and creative skills in reading
and writing. This subject taught me techniques on writing fiction, poetry and
drama. This improve my skills as a student, it taught me how to create a story out
of my imagination. It also taught me how to use imagery diction, figures of speech
and helps me identify various elements, techniques and literary devices in specific
forms of poetry. It also taught me how to understand poetry as a genre and how to
analyze its elements and techniques. Creative writing helps me improve my literary
skills. It taught me how to express my feelings through writing poems and stories.

Reflection:
This subject focuses on the application of ideas and methods of the social sciences
to understand, investigate and to examine challenges of contemporary community
life. It aims at enhancing students sense of shared identity and willingness to
contribute to the pursuit of the common good of the community. Community
Engagement, Solidarity and Citizenship helps me understand the importance of
community. It taught me how to be a good member of my community and taught
me ways on how to improve myself for the benefit of the community. It also taught
me that being active in your community can improve yourself. We shoul do our
best to improve our community because it is our home, it is where we feel
comfortable.

Reflection:

This subject helps students to discover patterns and extract meanings from
emerging trends. It helps develop ohr critical and creative thinking skills which is
essential for decision making. This subject taught me how the world changes and
helps me learn what the trends are today. It taught me what are the trends that
emerged in the 21st century. It taught me how to differentiate trend from fad and
explain the process on how to spot a trend. Trends, Networks, and Critical
Thinking in the 21st Century is very important because our world is changing and
thus subject can help us cope uo with these changes.

MY PERSONAL GOALS FOR THE FUTURE
As a human we all have our goals in life. We have dreams and goals that we want
to achieve someday. We study hard in hoping that we can graduate and achieve our
goals. Our goals are what keeps us motivated, it keeps us from giving up and being
lonely. It drives us to strive hard and study well for us to achieve that goals.

Eversince I was young I always encountered this question, "What

do you want to be when you grow up?". When I was in elementary
I was asked by our teacher the same question and i answere simply,
"I want to be a teacher when i grow up" . That is my answer when i
was asked that question. But as i grew older, I started to dream big.
I started to have goals in my life aside from being a teacher. First, I
wanted to give my family a nice life, a life wherein they will not
suffer and work hard. I want them to experience a peaceful life, a life where there
are no problems and they can enjoy their life to the fullest. I want them to be happy
because I will not be here without them. I want to repay their sacrifices for me.
Second, I want to be rich. I grew up in a poor family so i wanted to be rich. I
wanted a life where my family will not suffer. I want to buy everything i want and
go wherever i want to go. I never experience that so i wanted to try them when i
grow up. Third, I want to be a professional. I want to graduate and be an aspiring
flight attendant although i wanted to be a teacher when i was young. I want to
travel the world, and being a flight attendant makes it possible. And most
importantly, I want to be happy. Someday I want a happy life, it's not that i am not
happy now, i wanted a life wherein there are no problems and no sufferings, no
hardships and most importantly no pain.

We have so many goals in our life. Goals are what keep us stronger to fight every
challenges and hardships that we may encounter. It is our armour against them.
Goals are very important in our life so we should do our best and dtudy hard ro
achieve those goals.
