Objectives must be met over the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the objectives necessary procedures must be followed
I. OBJECTIVES and if needed, additional lessons, exercises, and remedial activities may be done for developing content knowledge and competencies. These are
assessed using Formative Assessment strategies. Valuing objectives support the learning of content and competencies and enable children to find
significance and joy in learning the lessons. Weekly objectives shall be derived from the curriculum guides.
A. Content Standard The learner will demonstrate on the common properties of acidic and basic mixtures.

B. Performance Standard The learner shall properly interpret product labels of acidic and basic mixture, and practice safe ways of handling acids and bases.

C. Learning Students will analyze the characteristics of acids based.

Competency/Objectives Students will determine the basicity and acidity of a substance.
Students will practice safe ways of handling acids and bases.
S7MT-Ig-h-5
Write the LC code for each.
Content is what the lesson is all about. It pertains to the subject matter that the teacher aims to teach. In the CG, the content can be tackled in a
II. CONTENT week or two.
ACIDS and BASES
III. LEARNING RESOURCES Lists the materials to be used in different days. Varied sources of materials sustain children's interest in the lesson and in learning. Ensure that
there is a mix of concrete and manipulative materials as well as paper-based materials. Hand-on learning promotes concept development.
A. References
1.Teacher’s Guide pages 54-59
2.Learner’s Materials pages 42-46
3.Textbook pages
4. Additional Materials from
Learning Resource (LR) ICT Materials, Slide Presentation, Models, Worksheets, Manipulatives, Test tubes, Graduated Cylinder, and LCD Projector
portal
B. Other Learning Resource Internet Websites
These steps should be done across the week. Spread out the activities appropriately so that students will learn well. Always be guided by
IV. PROCEDURES demonstration of learning by the students which you can infer from formative assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by providing
students with multiple ways to learn new things, practice their learning, question their learning processes, and draw conclusions about what they
learned in relation to their life experiences and previous knowledge. Indicate the time allotment for each step.
A. Reviewing previous lesson Task 1: React mo, Collage ko.
or presenting the new
lesson In this activity, students will give their reactions upon seeing the posted collage in the screen.

1
Based on DO 42, s. 2016

What is your idea about the collage presented?

If you are given a chance to create a title out of this collage, what would it be?
Differentiate the characteristics the two items picked from the collage. (orange and bitter melon, clorox and soap)
Base on the activity, can you predict what would be our topic today?

B. Establishing a purpose for A. Students will analyze the characteristics of acids based on the given plant sample;
the lesson B. Students will determine the basicity and acidity of a substance; and
C. Students will practice safe ways of handling acids and bases.
C. Presenting Task 2: Bahay KO-bo
examples/Instances of the
new lesson Students will be group according to the colors of their metacards.

Process questions:
1. Let them name and write 1 fruit, root crop or vegetable at their backyard.
2. Identify which is sour and bitter in taste.

Basing the words written in their metacards, students will paste their metacards in the board either it is acid or base.

D. Discussing new concepts Elaborate what is acidic and basic through video clip.
and practicing new skills #
1 Task 3: Roll VTR…

(Elaborate what is acidic and basic through slide show.)

E. Discussing new concepts

and practicing new skills # Task 4: How can I tell her about you.
2
Group 1: The Testers
(They will conduct and test the given samples.)
Group 2: The Observers
(They will observe the results of group 1 experiment and identify the reaction of the litmus paper within the substance.)
Group 3: The Presenters
(They will take down the observation of group 2 and write their generalization on the cartolina.)

Note: The teacher will present grading rubric for the task.

Content - 20 points
The theme is clearly illustrated. There are no deviations made that lead to misinterpretation.

2
Based on DO 42, s. 2016
Performance/Output - 20 points
The performance/output shows creativity.
Collaboration - 10 points
The group shows teamwork and cooperation. Task are well distributed to all members.
F. Developing mastery
(leads to Formative Assessment Collaborative learning
3)
(Within their group they will brainstorm the assigned topic given to them in order to come up with the best output.)

G. Finding practical Process questions:

application of concepts
and skills in daily living Did you feel hard in testing the samples? Why?
Did the litmus paper help to easily done the task?
How can you tell if a mixture is acidic or basic?

H. Making generalizations Task 5: Let’s talk about it!

and abstractions about the
lesson
What are the characteristics of acids based?
How can we determine the basicity and acidity of a substance?
Why we need to practice safe ways of handling acids and bases?

I. Evaluating learning Task 6: Quiz Bowl Time

(Questions will be answer in given specific time. The group that will garner of more points will be declared as a winner.)
J. Assignment (Post me)
Group yourselves into two and make a Poster and Slogan about the safe ways of handling acids and bases. Take a picture of your work and post it
on your Facebook account. The rubrics of this activities is already posted in our Group Chat @ Grade7_Council2021.
V. REMARKS
Reflect on your teaching and assess yourself as a teacher. Think about your students’ progress this week. What works? What else needs to be done
VI. REFLECTION to help the students learn? Identify what help your instructional supervisors can provide for you so when you meet them, you can ask them
relevant questions.
A. No. of learners who earned
80% in the evaluation
B. No. of learners who require
additional activities for
remediation who scored
below 80%
C. Did the remedial lessons
work? No. of learners who

E. Which of my teaching
strategies worked well?
Why did these work?
F. What difficulties did I
encounter which my
principal or supervisor can
help me solve?
