Global North and Global South’s Relation Misconception

The conceptual importance of this concern on the development of the Global

South/North arises, in particular, out of our own situation. Global North and Global

South concept describes a modern strategic viewpoint. The interaction among both

Northern developed countries and Southern emerging countries is pursuing a new

identity. Major power tensions and intellectual dispute must no longer be included in the

North or the South as false premises to prevent tackling the underlying problems

affecting growth and global sustainability, particularly when the condition of many less

developed nations is having severe disintegration. Although the Global North countries

are developed, economically powerful, prosperous, and peaceful and growing whereas

their economies trend toward zero increasing population, the contrary is true of the

Global South. Even though the Global South countries remain agricultural society

oriented, financially and strategically heavily reliant on the Global North, the Global
North in foreign relations and investments has come to influence and control the Global

South. In conclusion, Global South and Global North are quite dependent on each other

on different aspects such as economically and politically. Although the dispute between

them are still emerging but tolerable, the relation and ties between the two is evident.
