Extreme sports, also known as action sports or alternative sports is a sporting events or pursuits

characterized by high speeds and high risk. There are a lot of types of extreme sports but I think the
most extreme sport are skateboarding, freestyle skiing and mountain biking.

Skateboarding is a popular among youths, in which a person rides standing balanced on a

small board mounted on wheels. Skateboarding as a professional sport boasts a range of
competitions, including vertical and street-style events. Freestyle skiing is a skiing discipline as part
of the Winter Olympics. It can consist of a skier performing aerial flips and spins, and can include
skiers sliding rails and boxes on their skis. Mountain biking is a sport of riding bicycles off-road.
Mountain biking can generally be broken down into multiple categories: cross country, trail riding, all
mountain, downhill, freeride and dirt jumping.

Extreme athletes don’t get off on taking risks or that rush of adrenaline. From interviews
with dozens of athletes discovered that extreme sports helped participants feel closer to nature,
more self-aware, at peace and even transcendent. It has been shown that extreme athletes have
lower anxiety, are more independent and self-assertive, and have a higher sense of reality. People
who take part in extreme sports sports will tell you that jumping, climbing, or skiing makes them a
better person.

In my opinion, I think extreme sports is very dangerous for starters and also kids because in
the most extreme sports, minor errors can lead to serious injuries and even death. Many of these
injuries can be prevented. Unfortunately, the young people who are most likely to engage in
extreme sports often lack the good judgment of older adults. For some professional players because
they had been training for a long time so their danger will decrease.

The most important thing is to be mentally prepared and excited about the sport you are
attempting. Ask yourself if you actually want to do it or is it just peer pressure. Go ahead only if you
are confident. At times of sudden thrust or fall, you may temporarily injure your knees, elbows and
other body parts. Ensure that you are wearing proper safety gear. Don’t forget your helmet. Wear
appropriate protective padding, if possible. This could include knees pads, elbow pads and wrist
pads. Lastly, don’t take pictures while doing the sport. It can be extremely dangerous. Focus on what
you are there for and make the best out of it.
