Re: Assessment of the Presidential Paralegal Advisory No. 03

1. As per the second advisory of Kuya JC to provide a longer period for membership application for
the 1st semester: I have reviewed the CPAGS Constitution as well as the Student Handbook, and
no provision accounts for the extension of the period of application for the CPAGS membership.
Article III Section 4 of the CPAGS Constitution states that the renewal of membership status shall
be on the first month of every semester (30 days). In this case, will the president need to issue
an executive order regarding the extension of the membership period for the first semester?

2. Appointment plans/dates for the Judicial Board and Electoral Board are in place and within the
30 day frame provided by the constitution.

3. Notice for Midterms and Finals shall be made 1 week prior the respective periods:

FIRST SEMESTER

Adjust the Notice regarding the upcoming midterms from October 29 to October 26, 2020.

Include Notice in the GPOA for the incoming Finals – January 6, 2021.

SECOND SEMESTER

Adjust the Notice regarding the upcoming midterms from April 3 to March 31, 2021.

Adjust the Notice regarding the upcoming finals from May 25 to May 19, 2021.

4. Membership Application for second semester shall start on February 20, 2021 and last until
March 6, 2021 only.

Other advisories given by the presidential paralegal were suggestions and not yet included in the
current GPOA, it is as follows:

 Include the 8-point agenda in the GPOA – to further serve as secondary basis.
 Include the establishment of CPAGS Committee on Constitutional Amendments and Revisions
(CCAR) on the week after the membership application period (it is not stated but probably in
after the application period of the first semester).
 Remove the row from the GPOA pertaining to “University Academic Council Meeting”
 Suggested that preparations must be made in the first semester regarding the CPAGS
merchandise, this is to ensure enough time if ever issues/problems arise. Also, to ensure the
smooth flowing of the program in the start of the second semester.
 Remove all schedules concerning the activities of the Electoral Board to honor their
independence as enshrined in the constitution.
