CAGBACONG, LEGAZPI CITY
The pilot testing and dry run of the modules were conducted in
Kinderggarten to Grade 6 level in Cagbacong Elementary School. The school
selected 10 pupils who lives far from school, pupils who are cared by
grandparents, working parents etc. This dry run aims to determine problems to
be encountered on the retribution/ retrieval of modules dry run and to collect
parent’s feedback. This dry-run was conducted as preparation for the October
5 opening of schools without face-to-face classes, utilizing instead prepared
learning modules that will guide students from their respective homes. Prior to
this activity, series of orientation was set for parents regarding the schedule
and process for dry-run.
Cagbacong Elementary School happened to conduct the Retribution of
Modules on September 7, 2020, Monday. Each grade level were scheduled with
the following:
Along with the pupils’ dry run of modular learning, parents were free to
ask their teachers via text/phonecall. Teacher Charina Balaguer received
random text messages from parents asking about the module in grade 2. This
questions were answered promptly. The same instances happened with the
other teachers. Teacher Shiela Azores, a kindergarten teacher happened to
experience receiving a text message from a parent but failed to receive and
answer it on time because of the poor signal in school.
September 11, 2020, Friday, the parents returned the module the same
schedule/time and room where they received it. This time, the parents were
interviewed about their experience/feedback, comment, questions and
suggestions about the dry-run. The following were their responses:

This comments, questions and suggestions were answered by the

2. Mahirap daw para sa kanilang mga parents kasi hindi nila alam
kung paano ituturo ang sagot na kanilang mga anak
With this, the teachers changed the schedule of the distribution and
retrieval of module in the opening of classes on October 5, 2020. Monday will
be the distribution of module and the retrieval will be on the same day. This is
to give the parents and learners enough time to learn the lessons on the
module and finish the activities before the day of retrieval.
