HOME WORK STANDARD

 Nursery;- daily Math’s and English (while swapping with either of


phonics coloring, health science etc.) minimum of 2 subject per day.
 Primary ;- Mon and Tues (English and Math’s),
Wed (English and science)
Thurs (English and social science)
Friday (quantitative, verbal and any other subject)
‘’teachers must guide learners sufficiently on how to carry out the
home work to avoid the parents doing it for them’’.
ARRIVAL STANDARD
 Minimum of 2 staff (duty master/mistress) should be at the gate to receive
pupils at arrival and entertaining them so as to incorporate the spirit of
learning in them.
 The staff should check the neatness of the pupils before allowing the in.
 They should also ensure that the children are well dressed.
 Sporting activities (minor) should be designed and organized for pupils who
arrive before assembly to encourage them to be more punctual.
 Parents who bring their children early should be given motivate words.
 Late comers should be ask to wash the toilet , Pick the litters school .

ASSEMBLY STANDARD
 Every teacher must arraign his/her class on the assembly ground non-
compliance will be queried and subsequent occurrences will not be
condoned.
 All teachers should engage in team work (work together).
 Every teacher must be at the assembly except those welcoming at the
gate.
 Teacher should match together with their children to the class.
 Avoid routines and noise while matching to class or going home.
 Headmaster and duty persons must give announcement.
 Daily inspection should be enshrined in the assembly and to latecomers.
 No discussion among fellow teachers immediately assembly is over.
 The secretary is expected to get and submit the number of late coming before
the end of each month.
‘’a token of #500 will be deducted from the monthly salary of who so ever comes late for up to three times
or more in a month, and would attract a query if found re-occurring in subsequent month’’.
MISSING ITEMS
 Parents at arrival should show teacher their children’s items (e g
food-flask, bag water-bottle etc).
 Parents should also ensure they check those items during closing.
 Any items missing as a result of teachers / nanny’s carelessness, the
teacher / nanny will be asked to pay.
 The nannies should ensure that any found items is kept in a safe place and subsequently give it
to the security for the safety of such item.

CLOSING STANDARD
 Teacher should ensure that the children are prepared 10 minutes before the closing
time by putting their books in their bags, food materials in their baskets, put on their
socks and sandal if after prayer, etc.
 Children should return home as neat as the way they arrived. Teachers note.
 After closing period all others pupils that are yet to be taken home should be grouped
together in a class with the duty mistresses/mister.
 Roudy closing must be completely avoided.
 No child should go out of the school except with the person who takes them home.
 Charges should be made to parents who do not come to pick their children on
time.

PUNISHEMENT STANARD

o Teachers should avoid corporal punishment.


o Flogging if necessary must be on the palm.
o No teacher should flog in any other part of the body.
o Teacher who is offended should report to another teacher to do the discipline.

PRAYER STANDARDS
 No pupils should go out for ablution without the class teacher.
 The head teacher should make sure all teachers are present during the
prayer hour
 Teachers should stay and coordinate pupils in the mosque.
 All teachers should participate in saying the Azkar with the pupils.
 Every teacher should go back together with their pupils in order.
 Duty teachers must ensure sure other teachers are present with them
during the prayer
 All teacher should participate in arraignment of the students/pupils on
the praying ground.
CLASS ACTIVITY STANDARD
Teachers should observe very well and be conscious to avoid pupils
being cheated by others
Teacher must ensure good hygiene in the classes. No littering
Teacher should go round to guide learners very during class activity and
mark.
Teacher should drill learners very well to retain learnt-concept.
Give special attention to slow learners ones in other to be carried along.
Correction must be given before proceeding.
Avoid noise totally
BREAK STANDARD
All break activities should take place within 4 wall of the class.
All class teachers should monitor their pupils very well during break.
No one should eat another’s food.
Ethics of eating islamically should be inculcated in the pupils.
They must be guided not to stain their uniforms.
Nursery pupils should be taking out periodically to ease themselves (at
least thrice a day). (8; 50) (10;00) (11; 20) classes at different time to
avoid crowd. HM should design timetable.
 Teacher should take break more serious than classes and always plan for it.
END IN THE SCHOOL DAY
Just as the school day begin with an assembly, so also should it end with
a sort of organized manner (the students should be with their teachers
both the islamiyya and school section while the security goes to their
respective class to call them out to the bus in an orderly manner.

Note: - the teacher must make sure that they have the list of those
pupils/students boarding bus in their class, in order to keep orderliness in
the school compound and reduces the rate of missing items.
FIRST TERM 2019/ 2020 ACADEMIC SESSION
RESPONSIBILITIES OF DUTY PERSONS
He / She must:
1. Be in the school compound by 7:15 am and close 2:00 pm throughout his / her duty
week.
2. Lead the assembly while the other teachers assist in arranging the pupils
3. Submit his / her duty report to the HM before leaving the school compound.
4. Plan what he / she are to present on the assembly ground and submit it to the HM for
correction.
5. Inspect the pupils finger nails uniform, teeth and socks on the assembly ground.
6. Check all the classes and toilets to be sure of their cleanliness.
7. Prepare a weekly moral talk which is to be proof red by the management or the committee
concern and present it to the students on the stipulated days during the week.
Submit names of absentees of all classes to the HM for consultation
