Inequality Working Group
Research themes:  • Workshop in Rome with Forum
The Inequality Working Group explores the
philosophical and technical aspects of the link
between inequality and economics: What are
economists talking about when they talk about
inequality? And why is inequality even relevant to
economics? In the past years, inequality has been
growing as an almost separate field, focused on
issues such as measurement, but a distributive
perspective is (and should) be central in all the
aspects of economic knowledge. Aside of events
in cooperation with other Working Groups, we
plan to organise events on:
• Measuring economic inequality

• Inequalities correlations: urban, gender, local
and historical
 Existing partnerships, cooperations:
• Inequality and policies in specific case
studies, with special focus on developing
countries
 • Forum Disuguaglianze Diversità, Rome
Headline projects:
• Workshop in London at the LSE III (tentative)
