OLIMPIC PIONEER CHARLOTE COOPER

. Dr Charlotte Coper was the first UK female tennis player to win an Olympic medal.

She also won five Wimbledon women's championships. She was always interested in

sports, and she started in the world of tennis in her hometown when she was very

young.

.Charlotte was born in, Middlesex, England in 1870. As a Young girl she was fascinated

by sports, and she was decided registrar in the Ealing Low tennis club, a little club that was

situated in his town. She won his first cup in 1895, Wimbledon, one of the most

important tennis tournament. She won this, in an incredible way.

. She was participed in his first Olympic Games in to the city of Paris in 1900. These are

the first that the federation allowed woman to participed. She started the Olympic

Games and won the final in, becoming the first woman to won this trophy.

. She was died in 1966, in Scotland. Charlotte is consider history of sport and she

taught us to never give up.
