Alone in a Strange Path

Maddie woke up on a normal Monday morning. She gets dressed for

school, brushes her teeth, and heads out the door to catch the bus.

Maddie finally arrived at school and went to her classroom. She said hi
to her friends and her best friend Ella. When class was over, and they
all went out to recess, and Maddie went to the bathroom to wash her
hands. But something was wrong. There was this weird old map on the
floor, and she decided to check it out.

She picked up the map and... it led to some weird place in the school.
Maddie decided to be a rebel and follow the maps lead. So that means
she must skip class to get there, she's hoping she doesn’t get caught by
her teachers.

Maddie started to quickly follow the map before class started. When
she stopped, the weird, old, map stopped her at this strange pathway,
creepy. She was walking through the path and there was this open
door.

She went through the door and there is no going back now. The door
closed behind her! Maddie was stuck in there! She kept kicking and
pushing the door but nothing. Maddie was devastated and just gave up.

Maddie was about to cry, she didn't know what to do, she was stuck,
she couldn't do anything to get out. Since Maddie was stuck, she
decided to explore the place, and it looked like a... forest? Maddie was
exploring the forest and there was this sign that said, “To leave this
forest, you have to find a red button” Weird.

Maddie was looking for that button for so long, but she couldn’t give up
now! If she didn’t find that button, she could be stuck in there forever.
She was getting very tired, but in the corner of her eye... SHE SAW THE
BUTTON! She sprinted like she was in an Olympic race to press that
button.

She pressed the button and quickly ran back to the pathway, and it was
opened! No one was at school since she was in there for so long, it felt
like forever. And she walked home since she missed the bus.

When she was home, she ripped the old map into little pieces and
threw it in the bin. What a huge relief.

Also, Maddie got grounded since she got home very late... We can't
blame her.
