Several fire tenders have been rushed to the spot to douse the blaze.
MUMBAI: A fire broke out in the City Centre mall at Mumbai Central area on Thursday evening creating panic among the locals
and residents of the adjoining building.

People present in the mall were evacuated safely while some residents of a nearby building left their houses for safety following
the incident.

can create problems during such incidents."

heard the sound of exploding batteries. Since it was closing time, there were very few people inside the mall. They came out
safely after noticing the fire.”

Local BMC ward officials stated that the fire started from a shop on the second floor but it was difficult to reach the shop due to
thick smoke. Firemen managed to open the windows of the mall to release the smoke and got access to the second-floor shop.
The firemen are trying to control the blaze with the help of seven fire engines.
