Chapter 1 Introduction

1.1 Background
It is required by Eygpt Telecommunications to have information of charging duration in
CDR. The previous services cannot achieve this and it cannot be calculated from the
calling fee. Therefore, SSP takes the task of reporting this value in ACR to IIN, and
IIN passes it for making the bill.

1.2 Feature Introduction

Charging duration is the time span of the call used by SSP for calculating the calling
fee.There is a publc parameter BilledDuration added in ACR, whose parameter label
is 0xB3(0x80+51).It supports only C-INAP, but not Core-INAP.The parameter unit of
BilledDuration is consistent with that of Duration. Since overseas SSP can conduct
10ms charging and 100ms charging, the parameter of BilledDuration has two formats
accordingly and are controlled by software parameters (P79, Bit15).For information
about 10ms charging of overseas SSP, please refer to C&C08 OVSV610R106 SSP
Deployment Guide to 10ms Charging.
The four bytes code stream of the parameter BilledDuration in ACR is like
HHHMMSST, shown as follows.

Chapter 2 Service Configuration

Software Parameters:
The SSP internal parameter 3 (79) Bit4 ---controls whether to report BilledDuration in
ACR of C-INAP.
1 Do not report BilledDuration.( Default)
0 Report BilledDuration.
To report BilledDuration, the following software parameters are to be modified:
MOD SFP: ID=P79, VAL="FFEF";

Chapter 3 Version Configuration

The protocol is modified by our company and is not the requirement of the ITU
protocol. It should be used with the version after IIN 6.1D7 or the verion of IIN 6.1D7
of the IN product.
