-48VDC DELTA PSC3 SETTINGS

I have come across many problems with new Delta PSU which has
been swapped out and not done properly by the external
contractors. Tonight just called out to site with similar looking issues
which I like to share with you.

. !ll the ones I managed to "x are due to the controller not been
commissioned properly or not commissioned at all# $ou need to
load the correct con"guration "les depending on the number o%
battery strings installed& I have the "les and procedure which I will
send out later. This will clear many o% the alarms.

'. Set the correct number o% recti"ers actually installed( this is


simply a matter o% log in via your P) and change settings under the
*ecti"er section and save con"g.

+. ,any o% you have come across this one whereby i% you leave the
controller plugged in and %ully commissioned the D) power is cut-o
completely too all the e/uipment connected. 0hen you disconnect
the controller the power kicks in 1a clunk is heard %rom the solenoid
which turns on the power2. The reason %or this is because the
solenoid wires are crossed %rom %actory# $es hard to believe in %act
true( come across + sites with this problem. Simply reverse these
two black wires on the solenoid and problem solved 1see pics2

3. 4xternal alarm cables incorrectly connected or not even


connected at all( please see pic o% how it should be connected and
rede"ne on 5ode 6 so that(

DELTA PSC3 CONFIGURATION

• 4nable the PS) + D>)P server. Select menu ?@.3. D>)PA on


the PS) + panel and scroll to ?serverA and press enter and
accept ?$esA.
• )heck the IP address is 7'.B9.::.::
o I% re/uired the password is ?up up down le%t le%t rightA
using the arrowsCexitCenter buttons
• )onnect the computer to the PS) + with an 4thernet cable.

• The P) should be automatically given the IP address
7'.B9.::.:.
o )heck by clicking start( run( type ?cmdA( then ?ipcon"gA.
The P) IP address will be shown.Type exit to /uit.
• <pen an internet browser.
• In the address bar o% the internet browser( enter
7'.B9.::.::.

The screen below will appear.

There are several user names but we should use

Username con"guration
Password psc+

$ou will then see the PS) + homepage as shown below.

There are currently two S0 Eersions used in the Eoda%one UF
network( '.+: and '.3'. The version can be seen in the screen shot
above. It has been agreed that we upgrade all the sites we have to
S0 Eersion '.3'.
I%( as shown above( the version is '.+: you need to upgrade to '.3'.

$ou need to run ?+)DaemonA and use the T;TP server.

6rowse the UploadCDownload Directory to the con"guration "les


location

6rowse to the screen shown below using the menu on the le%t hand
side o% the screen.

4nter the EXACT "le name in the ;ilename box. )lick Start( then <F
in the message box.

The %ollowing screens will appear.

)lose the browser. )heck on the unit that the IP address is correct
and that the D>)P is set to server.

$ou now need to load the correct con"guration "le %or the site.

*econnect to the PS) + as described above and %ollow the


instructions below.

These "les are loaded to the PS) + %rom your P) as described below.

The T;TP server is built into this S0 version but you still need to set
the Symantec "rewall to <G, as in 4ricsson +H commissioning.

There are "ve con"guration "les available %or S0 Eersion '.3'. The
%ormat is shown below

where n = number o% battery strings

i.e. : to 3 depending on the setup at each site.

;rom the PS) + select the screen below using the menu on the le%t
hand side o% the screen.

In ?;ile TypeA select ?SetupA in the dropdown box. Then click ?Joad
;ile ;rom P)A.

)lick 6rowse and search %or the .xml "le you re/uire.

)lick Start and the <k in the message box.

Then wait %or the screen shown below indicating success.

6rowse to alarms using the ,enu and select status.

!n alarm may be active as above( click Inspect and %urther


in%ormation is given.

This alarm is showing S 5on Urgent *;! 1recti"er ;ail !larm2.

$ou need to browse to the recti"er menu as shown below.

This shows that there are 3 recti"ers in situ but the S0 is only
expecting +.
)lick !cknowledge and the S0 recognises all 3 recti"ers.

)lick Save 1Top le%t2 where modi"ed is displayed.

Then click Update on the top menu.

!ll alarms should now be clear.
