Chemical
resistance
guide
for protective coatings
Hempel protective coatings produce the most versatile
range of chemically resistant linings on the market.
This guide is intended to provide a summary of the
capabilities of the Hempel linings offer. It does not contain
all the linings in the Hempel offer and the chemicals listed
are not the limit of chemicals to which Hempel’s linings
are resistant.

Hempel supply linings suitable for a wide variety of

applications including, but not limited to:
• internal lining of above and below ground storage tanks
• internal lining for process vessels and piping
• external lining of buried tanks, vessels and equipment

Hempel also provide a range of linings suitable for use onto

concrete surfaces which protect against chemical, abrasion
and impact attack. Specialised systems are available which
can provide crack bridging solutions for applications where
concrete movement is expected.

Hempel aim to provide the highest levels of service in

selecting, specifying and applying the linings systems.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any enquiries or
problems you have and we will provide you the best solution
to satisfy your requirements.

If any training or support is required for the actual application

of the lining Hempel have specialists who can support the
local Technical Service Representatives if this is necessary.

This document is intended for guidance purposes

only, please contact Hempel for confirmation of
product performance.
