How to Install Subscribers on Your Shopify Store

1) Create an account on Subscribers by visiting their site, app.subscribers.com, and

following the instructions.

2) You’ll need to begin by changing your site from https to http. Once you’re logged in,
click here, and the dropdown menu to change between the two is at the top. Once you
switch to http, click ‘Save’ at the bottom of the page.

3) Now you need to edit the code on your Shopify site. Once you’re logged into Shopify,
you’ll need to hit ‘Themes,’ then ‘Actions,’ and then over to ‘Edit Code.’

4) From the list of files on the left-hand side of your screen, you’ll need to click on
‘theme.liquid’.

5) Scroll down until you see the </body> tag. Before that, insert this code (given by
Subscribers on this page):

6) Do not press ‘Save’ yet.

7) You will need to copy and paste your Subscriber Site ID into that bit of green code in call
caps above. Once you’re logged into Subscribers, click on the ‘Settings’ tab, and your
Site ID is under ‘Site Details.’ Copy and paste that as your Site ID in the code.

8) Make sure the quotation marks in the code are still there.

9) Now click ‘Save’ at the bottom of the page.

10) Once finished, move over to your Subscribers dashboard again, click ‘Settings’ at the
top, click on ‘Install Code’ on the left, then scroll to the bottom and hit ‘Verify
Installation.’

11) Unfortunately, the verification will fail – Subscribers knows this, but you need to
override it by clicking on that when prompted.

12) You’re ready to send out your first notification! Navigate to your Subscribers dashboard,
click ‘Create Notification’ at the top right, fill out the information, click ‘preview’ at the
bottom of the page, then send!
