B. SETTING

C.PLOT

Alibabas marries a poor woman and settles into the trade of a woodcutter.one day,Alibaba is at
work collecting and cutting firewood in the forest,when he happens to over hear a group of forty
thieves visiting their store treasure.. under pressure from his brother,Alibaba is force to reveal
the secret of the cave.

D.CONCFLICT

Man against himself: It happened when Alibaba pitied himself for being a poor man while his
brother had a better life. Alibaba remains poor despite working hard every day to make ends
meet.Man against man: It took place when the thieves found out that someone is stealing their
gold. The first was when Cassim greedily went to the cave to steal the gold. Unfortunately, he
was caught and was killed. The next was when the thieves discovered that there is another
person who knows about the gold. the thieves tried to kill Alibaba. Luckily, the servant girl,
Morgiana saved Alibaba by killing the thieves and their leader.

E. THEME

The poor man rises to riches by means of lucky break.

G.EXPOSITION

Cassim is rich and greedy, while Alibaba is humble but poor.

H.RISING ACTION
the thieves decided to kill Ali Baba. The thieves wanted to get even with Ali Baba because they
were furious with him for finding their hidden treasurer and taking some of it.

I. CLIMAX

The climax happened when the federation of thieves found out that there was another culprit
aside from his brother who knew the secret about the cave. They got furious to find and kill the
other culprit when they found that Cassim’s dead body was gone from the cave. The plotted
plans to kill Ali Baba, but because of his woman servant named Morgiana, his life was saved
from the plans of assassination. To the extent that even the leader of the group of thieves went
to Ali Baba’s house and pretended to be an oil merchant, while the 37 thieves left (the 2 thieves
were killed because of failure to kill Ali Baba) position themselves inside the 37 oil jars brought
by the leader of the thieves but because of Morgiana’s concern for her master, he poured
boiling water to the jars of oil that killed the thieves inside it while the others escaped.

J. FALLING ACTION

Ali Baba with his servant, Morgiana, outsmarted and killed the forty thieves. In the end, he took
the rest of the money from the cave and became the richest man in the village

K. RESOLUTION

At first,Alibaba was angry.but,when he learned that he thanked morgiana for saving his life.
