The flag of Singapore consists of two horizontal halves,red above white.red symbolizes
universal brotherhood and equality of man;white stands for pervading and everlasting purity and
virtue.in the upper left corner,a white crescent moon and five white stars from a circle.
Singapores flag was adapted on December 3,1959 when Singapore became independent from
great Britain.the flag has two equal size horizontal stripes,red on the top,while on the
bottom,there is a white crescent moon anf a circle of five-pointed white stars in the red
section(near the flag pole)
