A. CHARACTERS

The taximan- who is the narrator of the story. He loving yet strict.

The passenger (Madam)- who is the taximan telling the story.

Lay choo - the daughter of taxi man.

B.SETTINGS
 in Singapore inside a taxi cab
C. PLOT
The Taxi man and his passenger engage in a conversation of different generations and cultures.
He has a rather one-sided conversation with a passenger known as "Madame." He talks about
the problems with young people. Based on a recent incident with his daughter, he feels they are
dishonest to their parents and run off to be with English boyfriends. The encounter ends when
he must leave to pick up other customers.
D.CONFLICT
Taximan was struggling with changes that he has seen over his life in Singapore, one of the
main would be teenage flesh trade. He thinks that he was an instrument in the proliferation of
flesh trade on the city as he takes on his teenage passengers and droves them to whatever is
the chosen place of business for the day.
E. THEME

F.MORAL
The taximan should not be so violent to her daughter as it might cause her to reble even more. I
think he should advise her on the advantages and disadvantages on mixing with bad company
and fooling around. E.g. It will affect her studies etc. The taximan should not be ashamed to tell
Lay Choo's teacher about the incident so that she might be able to help in monitoring Lay Choo
