G5 MiniStar Roulette
Electromechanical Gaming Device

Introduction

11
G5 MiniStar Roulete Installation & Maintenance

MiniStar Roulette

The G5 MiniStar Roulette is a fully automatic version of the Roulette game, available with a
single or double-zero Roulette wheel. It uses air pressure to launch the ball onto the rim and
a series of optical and proximity sensors to track the ball during its path and detect its final
position. Improvements of the concept in the fifth generation include new fast result detection
with 3 sensors, new ball-launching mechanism with 10 ball charger for automatic ball change,
a completely non pliable carbon-fiber brim around the Roulette wheel and a thorough fraud-
preventing system (multiple access sensors & switches and in-built tilt sensor).

The MiniStar Roulette is the smallest and most highly performing product available on the
market from Interblock’s newly launched G5 family of gaming products. It is available with 5, 8
or 10 seats, and with either a Single or Double Zero roulette wheel. The MiniStar Roulette is built
to accommodate any casino floor with a much smaller footprint.
The product incorporates all of the same features of the G5 Diamond Roulette™. In addition, the
MiniStar Roulette features color adjustable illuminated armrests, a Progressive Jackpot system
(Golden Chip), additional side bets, excellent Wheel visibility, and an ergonomically designed
surface.
Pay systems include all well-known Bill Acceptors and Ticket Printers, and the MiniStar Roulette
also has a Coin handling system (optional).

MiniStar Roulette consists of electromechanical G5 Roulette Generator, which is surrounded with

5, 8 or 10 MiniStar Play Stations /w 18.5” Wide LCD. MiniStar Roulette could also include a 42’’
Vertical Double sided PID and Rounded LED sign.

Basic Structure of G5 Roulette Generator

The central module of the electronic Roulette is an automatic Roulette wheel which is
mechanically the same as the classical Roulette wheel, but additionally equipped with protection
cover, detection devices and electromechanical spinning and lifting mechanisms (in short, the
electronic Roulette Generator). It is fastened to the top of a metal frame cabinet containing a PC,
electrical supply devices, ball launching electric fan and hold-and-start mechanism and devices
control board.

Live camera

Camera for capturing live video, which is

displayed on PID and/or video wall.

Ball-guiding tube

The ball travels the ball-guiding tube and

exits to the rim of the Roulette wheel.

Tilt sensor

Tilt sensor is part of fraud-preventing

system, and is intended to alert the casino
operator, if the player it trying to affect the
result of the game by shaking or moving
the Roulette Generator.

Ball launching electric fan with air filter

The ball-launch fan provides the airflow to launch the ball into the ball-guiding tube.

Roulette wheel

Single Zero or Double Zero Roulette wheel.

Lifting Wheel Cone

At the end of game cycle (after winning number detection) wheel’s cone is lifted, allowing the
ball to slides under the wheel. The ball is then moved into the ball launch position or into the ball
replacement mechanism. The game cycle is finished.

Revolving mechanism for changing balls

Nine balls are stored inside the revolving magazine, while one ball is used for the game. Revolving
mechanism replaces the used ball with the new one when the preset number of games is reached.

This sensor detects the ball as it revolves on

the ball-track, spinning counter-clockwise.
While the ball is revolving on the ball-track
the players may be allowed to place bets
for some time (depending on the game
configuration). After the ball leaves the ball
track the betting is no longer possible.
This sensor also helps detect any
irregularities, which may occur as a result of
a fraud attempt or a damaged rim, such as a
sudden acceleration of the ball, not enough
revolutions prior to result detection, etc.

Zero pocket proximity sensor

Proximity sensor which detects the pocket

with the number zero (single zero) as it
passes by.

Packaging, Transportation and Storage

Packaging and Transport

Prior to the transportation, all the parts of the G5 gaming device are securely packed. Since
the product is extremely sensitive to any kind of damage, which could be inflicted during the
transport, we’ve dedicated a great deal of concern to ensure the product is securely shipped to
the customer.

The gaming device can be shipped by road, air or sea transport. For road transports, all parts of
the gaming device are packed using a thick cardboard and pasteboard, wrapped with plastic
ductile wrapping paper and placed on Euro pallets (80 x 120 cm / 31.5 x 47.3 inch). Pallets allow
us to group different packed parts into a single transportable unit, which greatly accelerates the
handling and simplifies the counting process.

When the gaming device is sent via air or sea transport, out construction department designed
special wooden crates for the parts to be transported in. The crates are sturdier, shock resistant
and therefore appropriate for longer transportation.

CAUTION! Due to the heavy weight of packed device parts,

be extremely cautious during loading and unloading of the
merchandise. Loading and unloading should only be done by
qualified personnel and with proper loading machinery.

Unpacking and Storage

Once the G5 gaming device has been unloaded at the desired destination, unwrap all the packed
parts and check for the completeness and good condition of parts according to the checklist &
form of delivery.

The G5 gaming device should not be stored in dank and cold places, even when it’s disassembled
and packed. After the device has been assembled, discard the packaging material according to
your agreement with the sales department.

50
