General Tips
• This is the official guide for Edge of Reality: Call of the Hills.
• This guide will not mention each time you have to zoom into a location; the
screenshots will show each zoom scene.
• Hidden-object puzzles are referred to as HOPs. This guide will not show HOP
solutions. It will identify the location of the HOP and the inventory item acquired.
• This guide will show solutions for non-random puzzles. Please read the in-game
instructions for each puzzle.
• In this game, you will sometimes have to select the new scene to trigger dialog, cut-
scenes, or tasks prior to interacting with the scene.
• Use GLOVE and select 2x; take HANDKERCHIEF and MAILBOX FLAG (F).
• Place MAILBOX FLAG; take map and read newspaper; take PACKAGE (G).
• Read note; open PACKAGE; take and select CANE.
• Use BROOM, STICK, and CANE (H).
• Select; use FIRE POKER; take DIRTY CHESS PIECE and 3rd CLOCKFACE PART
(U).
• HANDKERCHIEF on DIRTY CHESS PIECE; earn CHESS PIECE.
• Read newspaper and note; select 1-4; place SPHERE (V).
• Select (L).
• Use BALL; take FILE and 2/5 AMULETS (M).
• Look at photo; take LIGHT BULB (N).
• Move items; select 1-5; take 3/5 AMULETS (O).
• Use LADDER (P).
• Use FIRE POKER; take 4/5 AMULETS, 3/4 and 4/4 FEATHERS (Q).
• FEATHERS on DREAM CATCHER; earn 5/5 AMULETS.
• Use AMULETS (R).
• Take TWEEZERS (S).
• Select key on TOOLBOX; use TWEEZERS; earn BROKEN KEY.
• Use BROKEN KEY and FILE; take KEY (T).
• KEY on TOOLBOX; take BUTTONS.
• Remove hat; use key on lock; take BANDAGE and IODINE (I).
• Use TWEEZERS, IODINE, and BANDAGE (J).
• Select; go left (K).
• Go forward (A).
• Go left (B).
• Take AXE (C); walk down 2x.
• Use AXE; go left (D).
• Go forward (E).
• Go right (F).
• Take 1/2 BOARDS (G); walk down 2x.
• Go right (H).
• Take 2/2 BOARDS (I); walk down and forward.
• Use BOARDS; go left (J).

Chapter 2: Square
• Talk (A).
• Restore plants as shown; take MATCHES and read note; take BEE REPELLANT (B).
• Select (C).
• Use BEE REPELLANT and DOG; take ARROW (D).
• Place ARROW (C).
• Take SAUSAGES (E).
• Solution Cx2-A-Bx4-Ax2-Bx2-Cx3.
• Go forward.
• Use MATCHES (E-F).
• Take GRANDFATHER'S BAG and GRANDFATHER'S CANE (G).
• Take 1/5 MAP PART and GOBLET (H).
• Use GRANDFATHER'S CANE; earn MEDALLION (I).
• Select (J).
• Solution A-B-A-C-D-E-F-G-H-I-J-K-C.
• Take BOOK (L).
• Walk down.
• Use GOBLET; earn CUP OF WATER (M).
• Go right.
• Use CUP OF WATER; place MEDALLION; take BOOK EMBLEM and 1/2 ORGAN
KEYS (N).
• BOOK EMBLEM on BOOK; take 2/2 ORGAN KEYS; turn page and take SAFETY
PIN.
• Open GRANDFATHER'S BAG; use SAFETY PIN; take ARTIFACT and CODE.
• Place ORGAN KEYS and CODE; select 1-5; take BEAD (O).
• Place BEAD on amulet; play HOP.
• Select (P).
• Solution (Q).
• Go forward.
Chapter 3: Steep
• Solution (P).
• Take 1/2 ARROW KEYS (A).
• Take INFINITY SIGN; use PICKAX; take CANNON WHEEL (B).
• Take BROKEN LANCE; read book; place CANNON WHEEL (C).
Chapter 4: Hill
• Take BROKEN LIGHTER; use DOG; earn FRESCO PIECE (G).
• Use SHARD; take ALCOHOL (H).
• Select pairs (I).
• Take 2/2 PADLOCK RINGS, RAG, and DIARY (J).
• HEAD TOKEN on DIARY; play HOP; earn LIGHTER SWITCH.
• LIGHTER SWITCH on BROKEN LIGHTER; earn LIGHTER.
• Place FRESCO PIECE; select (K).
• Solution (L).
• Use RAG, ALCOHOL, and LIGHTER (M).
• Talk (N).
• Place PADLOCK RINGS; solution (O).
• Talk (A).
• Take HELMET and DIADEM (B).
• Take SPEAR; place DIADEM (C).
• Select (Dx2-E); take 1/2 DRAGON EYES and GLASS JAR (F).
• Take 1/2 DRAGON HANDLES; read note; take 1/3 FIREFLIES (G).
• Use HELMET; earn HELMET WITH WATER (H).
• Use FILE; read note; take 1/2 MOSAIC PIECES, 2/3 CRYSTALS, and DIAL (K).
• Read note; take 3/3 CRYSTALS (L).
• Place CRYSTALS; take 2/2 MOSAIC PIECES (M).
• Place MOSAIC PIECES; solution (N).
• Go forward.
• Take 1/2 PORTRAITS (O).
• Take PAINTBRUSH (P).
• Use PAINTBRUSH (Q); play HOP.
• Take 2/2 PORTRAITS and CRYSTAL KNOB (R).
• Place CRYSTAL KNOB; take 1st HILT PART and 2nd HILT PART (S).
• Place PORTRAITS; solution (T).
• Place 2nd HILT PART and 1st HILT PART (U); select 1-6. Read note; take
SOLUTION.
• Place SOLUTION and DIAL; select 1-5 (V).
• Collect LANTERN (A), MAP (B), and SHIELD (C).
• Use SHIELD (D).
• Collect BOARDS (E).
• Use BOARDS (F).
• Collect KEY (G).
• Go to (H).
• Use KEY (I); go to (J).
• Place STONE PETAL (Q); play HOP; earn 2/2 LEVER PARTS.
• LEVER PARTS and JEWELS on BROKEN LEVER; earn MAGIC STICK.
• Go forward.
• Place MAGIC STICK; select R-S-R-T.
• Go forward.
• Select the symbols in sequence (A-B-C-D).
