Aim: OPAMP as Active analog filter.
Objectives:
1. To design and implement first order low pass filter for given cut off frequency.
2. To design and analyse second order low pass filter.
Pre-Lab Quiz:
1. Sketch ideal frequency response for all types of filters.

Procedure:
[1] First Order Low Pass Filter:
Sketch the circuit diagram shown above and then connect a function generator with
constant peak to peak voltage at the non-inverting terminal and calculate the output
voltage for different input frequencies at the output terminal.

[2] Connect Cf ’=0.1uf parallel to Cf and measure the upper cut off frequency using DSO.
Compare with step 1 and Comment on your result.

Upper Cut off Frequency: ___1KHz__________

Post Lab Quiz:

1. Using multi-sim software, design a first order high pass filter with cut-off frequency
1kHz.
Conclusion:
In this experiment, the concepts of active analog filters were studied and the frequency
response of first order low pass filter and first order high pass filter was generated. The
error between the calculated and simulated gain was observed.
