QUIZ STATES OF MATTER (GAS)

NAME: TUTORIAL:

Answer all the question.

1. State whether the following statement are true (T) or false (F)

a) According to the kinetic theory, particles of different gases at the

same temperature have the same average kinetic energy. ( )

b) CCIF3 gases will have the greatest density at the same specified
temperature and pressure. ( )

c) A container has a volume of 8.306L. When it is filled with Nitrogen

gas at 30 oC, the pressure recorded was 906 Torr.

The mass of nitrogen gas is 1.11 g, assuming it is an ideal gas.

d) Boyle’s Law states that the volume of gas is inversely propotional to

its pressure. ( )

e) Gas particles move in a straight line between collision. ( )
