“The Importance of Listening Skills in Effective Communication”

An effective communication is a process of communication that occurs between two

or more people whose purpose is to convey, receive, and understand messages successfully. It
can be done by someone if they have good listening skills. For this reason, listening skills are
an important part of effective communication.

1. Firstly, everyone will be easy to ask the right questions to the interlocutor if he does a
successful of listening. As we know, when a person asks correctly, of course it can be
concluded that someone has understood the topic of the ongoing conversation.
2. Secondly, the information can be received by listener if he has good listening skills. As we
know, a communication can be said to be effective if the information or messages in that
communication can be conveyed and understood properly.
3. Thirdly, the listener can give a good impact to the speaker, so that we will good
atmosphere in a communication.
4. Next, the listener can give good feedback to the speaker if he has good listening skills.
5. Furthermore, if someone has a good listening in a communication, of course he will create
good relationship between them. In the process of communication exchange ideas or
messages well so that it can improve existing relationships.
6. Moreover, an effective listening skill is not only in developing relationships, but it also
effective in avoiding conflict.
7. Not only that, a good listening skill actually invites other people to do the same. When
someone listens well, surely he will be able to be an example for others.
8. Certainly, when the listener has good listening skills, it will give empathy to the speaker.
 In the conclusion, an effective communication is a communication can be done by
someone if they have good listening skills. If the listener has good listening skills when do a
communication with someone, of course it will give so many good impacts in that
communication. Those are the importance of listening skills in effective communication.
