A study on the strategies to develop listening skills among

higher secondary students
Abstract
 English is one of the most important languages in the world.There are many reasons why
English is so important. One of the reason is that English is spoken as the first language in many
countries there are one 104 countries were English is spoken as the first language.
                      Listening is the ability to accurately receive an interpret message in the
communication process. It is a key to all effective communication. Without the ability to lesson
effectively messages are easily misunderstood. Aise result communication breaks down and the
centre of the message can easily became frustrated or irritated. Listening is so important that
many top employer provide listening skill training for their employees. This is not surprising
when you consider that good listening skills can lead to better customer satisfaction greater
productivity with fewer mistakes and increase sharing of information that in turned can lead to
more creativity and innovativeness.

Introduction
 A good listener is someone who listens to the speaker to receive an interpret messages
accurately. Now and likes to communicate with a person who cares only about what they have to
say. Listening is one of the essential soap skills it indicates a person's ability to receive an

OBJECTIVES
 The main objectives of the study is that it is to increase self confidence among listeners develop
listening skills among student in different situations discuss once on strength and weakness in
listening helps the learner to remember an analyse verbal in formation better allows to
holistically Asus information to pass better judgement helps to objectivali take in different view
points without bies English overall productivity and reliability.

FINDINGS 
 The study is the investigator had arrange listening session to improve listen skill among the
landscape I study was conducted on the basis of the participants performance a questionnaire was
made consisting of 20 questions regarding the Awareness of students about the strategies to
develop listening skill the question was implemented among Higher Secondary students. A
group of 50 students with selected to fill up the questionnaire. The following reports that is our
based on the survey on the topic study on the strategies to develop listening skills and Higher
Secondary students. The study analyse the question of 20 questions was used to for the data
collection the questions were designed to check the understanding of the students above
strategies to develop listening skill among Higher Secondary students it discuss about the
Strategies and difficult is faced by the students or must students have an idea about the
importance of listen skill in communication was almost all this students have a difficulty in
listening to lectures the students where of listening in good communication some of the students
are aware of language love some of the students when it difficult to follow their teacher while
they lecture some of the students when did difficult to maintain eye contact that during class
most of the students believe that listening skill can be improve through practice by the survey
most of the students find difficult while listening to lectures on the SN and body language of the
speaker the students will you that the improving listening ability would help them for better
communication.

CONCLUSION 
 The students not the importance of listening communication they are not fully aware about the
various strategies to develop listening skills some of the students know about the different
strategy but they were not ready to put online put an effort for the development of their listening
ability tomorrow the investigator found that there were lots of students who have the decide to
improve the speaking skills as well the major reason for this is because they came across many
distraction while listening to lectures of the students to try to guess the meaning of the words
while listening. Having difficulty in listening is a common problem of many of the English
students listening practice helps to learn how to be more careful while listening to lectures
listening is the first step in improving one speaking skills by using the correct sounds an Ascent
this listener will be able to understand quickly about the country which is speaker trying to
convey it will be easy to improve listen a skill by making sure to listen the audio so lectures
while doing other task at that he is interested and focus mostly on the meaning he should also
learn about the subject matter of what you are listen there for we can say that the best way to
improve listening skills by maintaining reading activity especially through audios or lectures the
safe student can improve the listening skill.
