Recommendation Discord to World Citi Colleges

Discord has also become prevalent in school, especially in clubs. Here at Green Hope there are some
clubs that use Discord as the primary form of communication for most of the club. Presidents of each
club can update members on the next meeting or what they may plan on discussing. It also allows
each member to interact with one another so they can all know each other better. One of the clubs
using Discord is Mock Congress. I asked students in the club about how they felt using Discord for
school clubs.

Question: How do you think using Discord for school clubs benefits or harms the club?

Brendan Gipp: Discord promotes communication between students, and for some relationships, is the
backbone of the friendship. Discord has a wonderful and reliable interface, that is easy to use and all
around fantastic. Mock Congress would be 1% as strong as it is now if we didn’t have Discord.

Daniel Shedrick: Discord is great because it promotes communication outside of school, and really
helps everyone get to know each other a lot better.

From these answers I can gather that students believe that Discord is a good facilitator for club
interaction. It is also good for club organization and keeping members updated outside of school.
They also thought it was very easy to use and understand, and is a great way to achieve club growth.
Overall, I would recommend Discord to any club struggling with organization or an irregular schedule.
