APPLICATIONS

Dissolving/diluting
®
CLARITE 3X bleach processor is usually added undiluted to the bleach bath. It can also be readily
diluted and mixed with water in all proportions.
Bleach baths and fortified feed liquors should be prepared as follows:
1. Charge the vessel with the required amount of water.
2. Add liquid caustic soda.
®
3. Add CLARITE 3X.
4. Add hydrogen peroxide.
® ®
5. Add wetting/detergent/cracking agents, e.g. ULTRAVON CX, ULTRAVON PRE or
®
INVATEX MD.

Suggested recipes
For cotton fibers and their blends with synthetics.

Pad-Steam Peroxide Bleach without silicate on desized and alkaline scoured material
®
6–10 ml/kg CLARITE 3X
6–12 g/kg NaOH 100%
15–30 ml/kg H2O2 35%
®
1–3 ml/kg ULTRAVON CX or PRE

Cold impregnation with high-add-on applicator or conventional saturator

Steaming for 3–30 min under saturated steam conditions
Hot wash off
The lower product amounts are valid for PES/CO blends.
A protective agent, e.g. PROVENTIN 7 (Degussa), is recommended for PA/CO.

Cold impregnation with liquor pick-up 90–100%

Dwelling for 16–24 hours at room temperature
The lower product amounts are valid for PES/CO blends.

Aftertreatment, if no pad steam or underliquor treatment follows:

Continuous boil-off in washing machines or immersion cloth accumulators

The following treatment has proved to be effective for high, uniform absorbency and improved
removal of sizes without additional continuous chemical feed.
Presharpen first baths of the washing machine or immersion cloth accumulator with:
6–10 g/l NaOH 100%
®
3–5 ml/l INVATEX MD or CRA

Reaction time open-width washing machine: 30–60 s

immersion cloth accumulator: about 5 min
Temperature 90–95°C
Water flow separate low water throughput of 1–3 l water/kg goods
Separate higher water flow for hot washing off with water only on the remaining washing
compartments.
